Our two daughters have been practicing jiujitsu in Padilla BJJ since 2022 and still are going strong to the same place. We like that coach Mike has a special connection to all of his students, he has a healthy balance of being strict and fun. We appreciate his positive attitude, encouragement and helping each kid learn jiujitsu and be better overall. Both of our kids got stronger and they are in a better physical shape thanks to the warms up and extra exercises at the end of each class. I think we could not find any better place for our children to learn Brazilian jiujitsu, they both progressed and learned a lot. My personal favorite moment that the gym is always very clean.
I trained at Padilla Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over two years, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Mike and the rest of the coaching team are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about what they do. They met me exactly where I was—starting as a mom in her 30s—and helped me grow in confidence, skill, and strength. My kids also took the youth classes, and the impact on them was amazing. I saw real improvement in their other sports, especially in terms of discipline, focus, and their comfort with physical engagement. Honestly, I think every woman should take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It teaches you how to use your body effectively, set boundaries, and defend yourself—all in an environment that’s intense, high energy, and deeply empowering. There’s truly no place like Padilla BJJ in the Lehigh Valley.
My entire family attends Padilla Gym, and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. This is my children's first year in wrestling, and during the off-season, we decided to try Coach Mike's classes to learn some fundamentals. Coach Mike is incredibly patient and graceful with each child, taking his time to show them moves. My four children absolutely love his classes. He effectively caters to every age group, and his staff is also highly knowledgeable. I also take his BJJ class, which is a fantastic workout\! We are excited to continue with his classes for years to come and highly recommend Padilla Gym.
Unequivocally, my two girls are training under the best BJJ instructors. A more fitting term than instructor is mentorship because of the conspicuous positive influence on demeanor. The difference from day one to now is genuinely ineffable. On day one, these girls struggled to perform basic drills, and with only a few months of training under the best, they were pulling out technical moves like they were competing in the UFC. The instructors are passionate about ensuring their students are physically fit and character-building, all of which are awesome traits any father could ask for in their kids.
The best place in the Lehigh Valley to learn Jiu Jitsu. Mike is a great teacher, very hands on, and cares about whatever goals you have with Jiu jitsu. Whether you are looking to compete or just learn a new skill while getting in shape, Padilla BJJ is the place to go in the ABE. Jiu Jitsu has changed my life and I will forever be grateful for the discipline Padilla BJJ has given me.
This is where you’re going to get top level instruction, whether you’re law enforcement, want to compete grappling at the highest level, or self defense hobbyist; Mike Padilla is a phenomenal instructor and makes training fun. It’s not easy, but it’s fun. He builds a great community and a safe environment to train. 10 stars!!
