I highly recommend Jinho Jiujitsu to every man, woman and child of all skill & experience levels. Professor Jinho fosters a welcoming, safe, family-oriented environment for all. I train in the adults class and my 4 yr old son trains in the Little Badgers class. My son loves it and can’t wait to go to class. Jinho’s teaching has increased his confidence, athleticism, discipline, and respect and has translated over to his other sports, school, and home. The patience the coaches have teaching these 3-6 year olds and making learning BJJ fun is incredible. The adults class will be the best workout you’ve ever done. I’m someone that started in my mid 30s with zero BJJ knowledge so its refrehing how Jinho teaches in great detail, making the complicated moves uncomplicated. He knows everyone’s name and genuinely wants to see you improve whether you’re a competitor or a hobbyist. The other students are awesome and welcoming, I’ve learned a lot f
I have been training under jinho for a few years now. I posted a review in the beginning, but so much has happened that I want to re-review. I have been training jiu jitsu for 7 years now, and thanks to work, I've traversed multiple gyms. With my experience, I can say jinho martial arts academy is something special. This gym is like family to me. Jinho cultivates an atmosphere that is welcoming, encouraging, motivating, and safe. Over the years jinho has become a close friend of mine and his family is wonderful. I have nothing but good things to say about him, his wife, and his children. He treats all of his students like they are part of his family and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Speaking of his students: everyone at the gym is humble, helpful, and genuinely care about each other. We build each other up, and no one is ever considered sub parr. Every student not only recognizes their strengths, but also their
I recently had the pleasure of dropping in for an open mat session at Jinho Academy, and I was absolutely blown away by the welcoming atmosphere! As a visiting student who barely knew anyone, stepping onto a new mat can sometimes feel a bit intimidating. However, the students and instructors at Jinho Academy immediately made me feel right at home. I was treated incredibly well—everyone was friendly, introduced themselves, and made sure I had great rolls. It's a true testament to the culture they've built here that even during a casual open mat, everyone is focused on mutual respect and positive training. The facility is excellent, and the quality of Jiu-Jitsu is high, but the community is truly what sets this school apart. If you are looking for a new place to train or just need a great spot for a drop-in, I highly, highly recommend Jinho Academy. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality!
Jinho Jiu-Jitsu Academy isn’t just a gym—it’s a home. From day one, I was welcomed with genuine humility. Professor Jinho creates an atmosphere that’s focused, respectful, and inspiring. The instruction is world-class—technical, detailed, and rooted in the kind of culture that builds not just fighters, but better people. Every class is structured with intention. Whether you’re a total beginner or a serious competitor, you’ll leave each session more confident. The community here is incredibly supportive - no ego, just people pushing each other to grow. I’ve trained at other gyms before, but this one stands out. Jinho Jiu-Jitsu is the real deal. If you’re in the DFW area and looking to transform your mind, body, and spirit through BJJ, don’t waste another second. Come train. You won’t regret it.
Oct. 2021 We enrolled our elementary school kids several months ago to this Tae Kwon Do program. They moved up from white to high yellow belts so far. Master Kim (and his wife) are excellent and patient with this age group. They try to emphasize discipline, respect for self and others, confidence, and teach them that being able to perform well in front of others allows them to feel confident when doing public speaking and presentations. It's so much more than learning martial arts and self-defense. My kids really enjoy it here. 2019 We were invited to a kids birthday party here and my kids had so much fun. This is a family owned business and everyone in the family knows Tae Kwon Do. The husband and wife team are both Masters. They are great with little kids.
Jinho Jiu-Jitsu academy is truly an amazing gym! Professor Jinho is incredibly talented. Not only is his technique world class, but he also has a great way of breaking things down so everyone can understand and improve. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and their progress. The gym itself is super clean, well-organized, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re new to jiu-jitsu or have been training for years, this is the perfect place to learn, grow, and be part of a great community. Highly recommend
