My child grew up in this academy. My wife and I still train here. While my daughter was there, she loved the staff and to this day, when they see her, they still give her a hug and a high five as if she is still part of the family. They train the kids to grow into leaders. Watching the staff, the quality has remained and continues to be top notch. Everyone who walks in the doors will feel like they are at home. Not only do they have great summer camps for kids, but their after school program is wonderful. The training from wrestling, Jiu Jitsu(adults & kids), and personalized trainings, this place has it all! I highly recommend Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu in The Colony. You won’t be disappointed!
This after school program has been a god send. They are like family to us now and our son. They have a wonderful area for the kids to be able to sit and do homework or work on whatever they’re doing. There is toys for the younger kids to entertain themselves as well. They teach them all to really look out for everyone too. I can’t say enough about how much this place has given us as a family. Check it out and I promise your kids will be hooked. They do Fun Fridays with a bounce house and play games. This allows parents to have a little date night too.
Jiu-jitsu and an after school program combined! Win-win for our growing little girl! They have an area for the kids to be able to sit and do homework or play with their peers. This is a great place offering both after school care and a great skill for my little one to have. You can’t beat that combination. They also do Fun Fridays with a bounce house and other games. The staff is friendly and always communicates well with parents. We love it here.
I love Machado’s. 5 of my kids attended the summer camps and jiu-jitsu classes and even worked the camps as they got older. The lessons they learned and the extended family they made while here will be with them for a lifetime. The after school program is second to none.
A great place for jiu-jitsu, wrestling and afterschool care. Camp days and field trips when school is out. The staff is very friendly, kind and makes you feel like part of the family. My kids love it here.
I can’t express how amazing this place is. My son has been going to Machado for 5 years and can’t imagine it not being a part of his life. From the classes to the after school program, we’ve only had positive experiences. The instructors are so nice and patient but firm. They teach the kiddos respect and kindness but instill a discipline as well. I can’t think of any other program or organization that I respect more.
