Our family has been a part of this BJJ gym for almost four years now, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the impact it’s had on our lives. Watching our son grow—not just in his skills on the mat, but in his confidence, discipline, and knowledge of the sport—has been incredible. The coaches are truly top-notch. They are patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated to every student’s growth. The owner is not only hands-on with the business but also deeply involved with the coaches and families, creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment. It’s a full-circle moment for us now, seeing our third child—who was just an infant when our son started—out on the mat training with the very same coaches who helped shape our son’s journey. That sense of continuity and care is something truly special. Beyond the high-level training, the sense of community here is amazing. The relationships we’ve built with other families have been such a meaningf
316 BJJ Academy is phenomenal! My brother had the opportunity to train here during his summer vacation while he was visiting. At his very first class, everyone made him feel so welcome and at home. Which helped so much with him looking forward to each class. His first thought was “the coaches here are very kind” There’s such a beautiful sense of community here. Even though he was only training for a short time, he still felt like part of the 316 family. The coaches are amazing. They’re not only knowledgeable and dedicated, but you can really see how much passion they pour into their students. They pay a lot of attention to how technique is being executed by the students, and there’s an abundance of coaches which shows how the program is so thoughtfully structured with a lot of discipline, that my brother was able to pick up new techniques quickly, grow after each class and gain more confidence in himself. We’re so grateful for the kindn
316 is the real deal. I have both of my young sons (ages 7 and 5) training here, and I can honestly say—there’s not a better Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in the state of Texas. I know that’s a bold statement, but it’s the truth. The coaches at 3:16 are top-notch BJJ fighters with a wealth of knowledge. But here’s what really sets them apart: they know how to teach. I’ve known a lot of people who are great at something, but they struggle to transfer that skill to others. That’s not the case here. The team at 3:16 teaches through critical, rigorous training, all wrapped in genuine love and compassion. I’ve watched my boys grow—not just in skill, but in character. They’re learning high-level jiu-jitsu, competing at a high level, and becoming better young men in the process. Because of that, at 43 years old, I decided to join 3:16 myself. So this part is for the men. Life, family, and business bring a lot of stress. I’ve turned to different thin
I have been taking my son since he was four years old. We have been going for about a year now. The gym is a great place for kids to learn not only Jiu Jitsu but how to be respectful boys and girls. All the instructors are good with the kids and want them to succeed in the gym and in life. Being a faith based gym was one of the reasons I initially chose this gym. Religion is not crammed down your throat but the kids are taught right from wrong and to do the right thing. My son enjoys his time there and it is a great outlet for him to exercise and be a boy. It is my intention that this training will be invaluable to him as he grows up and I only wish I could have started a program like this when I was younger. I also attend classes and enjoy it. Everyone at the gym is friendly and willing to help. You can come check it out for free so there are no excuses.
When I started at BJJ 316 eight months ago, I had no idea how invested they would be in me. The culture of the gym is free of ego’s and full of encouragement from the staff and other members. Everyone is focused on getting better, not on showing off or hurting anyone. The real reason I joined was to get physically fit. Within the first three months of joining, I dropped 15 pounds and added that much in muscle mass. A completely unexpected benefit of training has been how it has affected me mentally. Because Jujitsu requires so much creativity and strategy my brain also gets a workout, training has lowered my anxiety levels and improved my mental clarity. Training at BJJ 316 has been an awesome experience! I would encourage anyone to give them a try no matter where you are, the guys at BJJ316 will meet you right where you are at!
I would highly recommend 316 BJJ to anyone. My 7 year old son began training over a year ago and he loves it. It's given us a way to connect, to talk about Jiu Jitsui, and by partnering with the 316 Staff, they're helping me to raise my son to become not just a good fighter, but a better human who gives back to society in a positive way. As for me, it's given me a lot of confidence to not just defend myself and my family, but better awareness of people. From a business perspective, I no longer freak out over small details. Jiu Jitsui teaches you to use your mind, talk through issues, and really solve problems. It's been great for my career, providing me confidence, and tackle issues head on. From a spiritual perspective, this is the most important for me. I trust the men teaching my son and I, and instill Christian values that are important for us. They've become friends and really push us to be better men. They will also have Nerf Nigh
