How does one leave a review where words fail you to explain what an absolute joy and pleasure it is to be a tribesman/ family of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at Victor.<br>I have a family of very shy and cautious children, two girls and a boy. They had tried some Karate before but were very quick to let us know that they did not want to be enrolled again. I was weary when we signed up for the ten day trial here at this accredited center for Jiu-jitsu and day one minute one we knew this was gold! Very first lesson we met coach Chris and my kids and I were in love.<br>We all signed up, even I, the 40 year old father with no martial art training background! Our six-year-old son started at UMAC a few months ago and absolutely loves it. We have been so impressed with John and the incredibly talented coaches. We are in awe of their ability to teach children of all ages in such a fun, respectable manner. Coach Chris has an incredible ability to hold the attention span of small children during class while also keeping the lessons engaging and entertaining. He is truly talented as that is not an easy feat! Our son has learned so much in such a small amount of time , and is so eager to take what he has learned at class and show his family at home. We have seen an increase in his self confidence (typically he is introverted and more on the shy side), and a steady eagerness to learn more and climb the ranks. One of the best things I have done for myself and my family. Don’t pass on this opportunity to help develop your children’s self esteem, discipline, physical strength and confidence. And by the way the same applies to adults. I’m 45 years old and I am more than physically capable for the curriculum. I’ve trained in several gyms in my years. This one is well rounded and allows for all levels of training. Please don’t feel for a second that if you’re not ready for the UFC that you will feel out of place. They are friendly and welcoming to all skill levels. I’ve trained in multiple gyms in my life. Some that look like they came out of a rocky movie and some that I thought were awesome. This gym is the cleanest and most modern gym I’ve ever been in. It’s like a new facility. Take the gift of a 10 day trial. You’ll be surprised at how you feel. Is is a 10 out of 10 opportunity.
I cannot say enough great things about UMAC!! This place quickly has become my second home and family. I take adult jiu jitsu classes and my daughters have both taken martial arts classes here as well. Every single instructor is caring and invested in all the students. The lessons we have learned have been life changing and I have seen a transformation in all of us, physically and mentally. I am so thankful for UMAC! If you’re considering trying classes, go for it! Passionate, encouraging, and welcoming! We started Mat Munchkins at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu about a month ago and my son absolutely loves it. The coaches are excellent, the environment is clean, and the classes are fun and interactive. Such a positive experience — highly recommend to any family looking for a supportive place for their kids to learn and grow!
