As a parent, I couldn't be happier with Coach Enrique and Silver Fox BJJ. From the moment we walked in, the instructors greeted us warmly and made us feel like part of the family. I had the privilege of rolling at Silver Fox 561 during this past Saturday’s open mat. Prior to attending, I called Professor Enrique, who was extremely polite and welcoming when I asked if I could drop in. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Instructor Mario, who invited me to stay and learn techniques at the end of the fundamentals class. During this session, Mario generously shared his knowledge and made me feel like a genuine part of the Silver Fox community rather than just a visitor. During open mat, I rolled with skilled training partners who were competitive yet very mindful that I had not trained in over a year. Toward the end of the session, the instructor once again took time away from rolling to teach me additional fundamental techniques that will significantly improve my game moving forward. I enrolled my son 9 months ago. I wanted him to start training as soon as he turned 4 and this has been the best investment in my child. What a relief to know he will be able to defend himself if/when he needs to. He has come such a long way and he loves going to class. Coach Enrique is welcoming, patient, caring, and dedicated to providing the best service to all of his students. He explains everything thoroughly in both kids classes and adult classes. Did a drop on with some members of my gym. Caught the end of a class and stayed later for the open mat. Professor Enrique was VERY gracious and welcoming. The instruction was high level and the skill level of the students made it apparent that they have been well trained. There is plenty of mat space and the facility is super clean. Everyone we met was friendly and welcomed us into their home. We had a GREAT experience. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this Professor and this gym.
The black belt instructor, Enrique, was very warm and welcoming. I was vacationing in the area and needed a place to train, so I did a class and an open mat. He explains the technical execution with the concept to help you actually understand what you’re doing. For the short amount of time I was there, it showed he’s created a great environment and culture for everyone to come learn and train. Whether you’re a competitor or a hobbyist, this gym is highly recommended!
Dropped in for a Saturday open mat. Spacious and clean mats, bathrooms with shower and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I was fortunate enough to roll with Enrique and a few of his students. Everyone was technical and controlled. It was a fantastic start to the weekend! I really enjoyed the rolls, ages varied from teenagers through older adults. At 57 it felt good to roll with younger guys who were technical and flowing, great group of guys. Definitely recommend checking the school out if you live in the area or just visiting. 5 STARS!
