My family has been training at Christian Carvalho BJJ-MMA for several years, and it has been an incredible experience for all of us. Sensei Christian is fantastic with children, and my two daughters absolutely love their training. My oldest has been training for four years, and the benefits she’s gained go far beyond physical fitness and self-defense. She has become more confident, disciplined, and resilient. My youngest started training six months ago, and she truly enjoys it and looks forward to every class. I’m excited to see how it will shape her in the future. I began training a year and a half ago, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been life-changing for me. It’s become my therapy, and I’ve really developed a passion for it. I’m now fully committed to the training, and it’s become a big part of my life. If you're looking for a Jiu Jitsu and/or MMA gym look no further. My wife and I have been coming here now for 2 years and we love it. This place is a welcoming community, practicing high-level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Whether you're a beginner wanting to learn the fundamentals, you're looking for some self-defense training, or you want to compete in a BJJ tournament or MMA bout they will help you achieve your goals. My wife was originally looking for a reliable and practical form of self-defense and I just wanted a fun and active hobby. Now coming here has become a staple of our weekly routine... plus we've made life-long friends along the way.
I joined this gym last week and already love it! Sensei Christian and the other instructors have created a fantastic, welcoming environment for all levels of BJJ athletes. Whether you're just starting out like I am or are experienced and looking to find a new gym, this place is worth it. The people I roll with are serious about training and push each other to improve, which is the best for honing your skills on the mat! The mutual respect everyone has for each other and the instructors is, in my opinion, what makes this a 5-star BJJ gym. I'm excited to keep learning more from my instructors and peers!
This is a beautiful family oriented gym that trains everyone interested in the art. Christian and his team diligently keep the students engaged in a wide variety of training exercises that specifically build up your ability to be competent at these martial arts. As of right now I do not attend the class but I do watch it intently as my daughter participates. Of all the things that I invest my money in right now, this is clearly one of the best. My only lament is that my daughter wants to train longer and harder than what is currently offered although we do attend everyday.
I have been doing Martial Arts for around 14 years and have visited and trained at dozens of schools. Christian Carvalho is one of my favorites. I have been going to train here for around 2.5 years and have never had an issue. The school is always clean and the instructors are top notch. Other students are friendly and I have made plenty of friends during my time. The school does not Nickel and Dime you and I have always felt prices were fair. Overall, i recommend this school whole hearty!
Helton has been training me for over a year now. He is such an awesome,friendly, caring person. He always motivates me to work hard and try my best. He always tries to make personal connections with any of his clients. Beyond his outstanding personality and character he also knows what he is doing. My skills in kickboxing have improved greatly and I couldn’t be happier with my progress. He is a great teacher and I am glad to have him as a coach.
