I was blessed enough met and begin to roll with Jay at the start of my jiujitsu journey. Hes a brown belt and is always willing to teach and train. Even travels and keeps mats with him at all times! His enthusiasm for the sport and passion for healthy lifestyle is why i spend my time with him. Furthermore, Jays style is very calm and surgical. I take from these sessions that "hey, if you breathe with it, stay super calm, dont panic, you will advance." The way the moves are so slow (it seems) you have no choice but to learn. I enjoy my time training with Jay, im looking forward for him to show my child tips as well! Highly Recommended!
My two boys train with Coach Joseph, and we absolutely love his classes. He not only teaches them the skills of Jiu-Jitsu, but emphasizes safety, character, and learning from every situation. If you’re looking for a coach who will serve as a positive role model and help your kids love this sport, this is the best place in St Pete!
I was in town for a work conference and found this little gem nearby. Joseph is very professional and attentive, not only to technique, but safety. Was reassuring knowing he was checking up on me during takedowns to make sure I was okay. Joseph also encouraged students to ask questions. During rolls, you could tell he was very detail oriented, which provided a controlled and a safe environment. I recommend his class to anyone visiting the area or nearby! P.S. Great instructor Jo has been trained by the very best in BJJ. Jo has also been working side by side with some of the brightest minds in the sport for the past several years. I recommend him to anyone interested in learning the art.
