Hands down best martial arts gym around. Peter and Sara do a INCREDIBLE job making you feel welcomed. Everybody is friendly and I’ve learned so much! I highly recommend learning and training here no matter what your age/experience. Best facility around, with state of the art equipment. They literally have a sauna and cold plunge fully functioning and accessible INCLUDED. Classes are all the time so you can work around your schedule. I know it can be pretty nerve racking taking the first step to learning Jiu-Jitsu but there is absolutely no reason to be scared or nervous at 10th Planet Saint Petersburg. Hope to see you soon. PS- it’s VERY reasonable compared to EVERYTHING you get. World class coaching. World class people. -Josh
I travel for a living and I have visited gyms all across the country. 10th Planet St. Pete's is one of my favorite BJJ gyms that I have come across during my travels. Peter, the head instructor, is absolutely awesome. His in-depth classes and ability to set a great tone for the gym's culture make it an incredible place to train. The variety and abundance of classes offered here are second to none, allowing me to explore different aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and meet my specific training needs. The facility and equipment are top-notch, providing an elite training environment. If you're looking for a BJJ gym with knowledgeable instruction, a positive culture, and excellent facilities, I highly recommend 10th Planet St. Pete's.
I drove over an hour and half to train here when I was visiting Florida and it did not disappoint, it was completely worth the trip, (I’ve trained at a variety of both gi and no gi gyms over the years) Hands down the best jiu jitsu gym to train at in St. Petersburg and the entire Tampa area 12/10 stars- I will absolutely be back next time I am in town. Some key highlights below — — Peter the instructor was super knowledgeable, friendly, and ran excellently structured classes — all training partners were very welcoming — the gym is clean, has great vibes, and overall just dope environment
10th Planet Saint Pete is the best! Sara is kind & a great person to do business with. Peter is a jiu jitsu black belt and also an expert mixed martial artist, so brings that broader perspective when teaching. He’s great at breaking down techniques & providing feedback, and he’s also funny & chill, which sets a nice tone for his classes. I love that Harley’s fundamentals classes have an overarching focus each month. Kris is great at simplifying techniques and I love that he visits each training duo to confirm they are doing the technique correctly. The students are friendly, having fun while taking training seriously. 10/10 best place to train!
I had the pleasure of training at 10th Planet St. Pete for approximately five months, in 2022. No matter how busy he was, Peter always made time for me; whether it was answering my question about a technique, coaching me while I competed or just chatting about life. Peter treats all of his students like family and has a tremendous work ethic as a coach. If you’re interested in starting jiu jitsu for the first time or you’re looking to join a new gym, 10P St. Pete is a must. The facility, team environment and coaching is nothing short of amazing.
I started training with Peter when he ran 10th Planet Royal Oak in Michigan just before covid started. I was looking for a team atmosphere and to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He quickly became one of my best friends and a huge influence in my life on and off of the mats. He inspired me to begin running and since then I’ve run 7 half marathons and have gotten in the best shape of my life. When 10th Planet St Pete was finished I didn’t hesitate to move to St Petersburg and train full time under him. He has honestly changed the trajectory of my life and I am super grateful for him! I’ve met a bunch of amazing people training here and the facility is top notch. If you are looking to change your life for the better look no further. I’ll see you on the mats!
