If you live in Sarasota or are just in town for a few weeks like I am, Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Sarasota is the place to train. Professor Jeremy Harris has created a great training environment and makes everyone feel welcome. He offers gi and no gi classes and his knowledge when it comes to teaching jiu jitsu is second to none. His students are technical and extremely helpful, on and off the mat. You will get better training here! The facility is super clean and there is plenty of room to change into your gi. I absolutely recommend Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Sarasota to anyone who wants to learn BJJ. It doesn't matter if you are a day one white belt or have years of experience, this is the place to train.
As a parent finding the right martial arts program for my child was important to me and I am thrilled to say Six Blades BJJ exceeded all my expectations. The instructors at Six Blades BJJ are fantastic with kids, create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where every child feels valued and empowered. They not only teach BJJ but they also emphasize value, respect, teamwork, and discipline. If you're looking for a martial arts program that will not only teacher child Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but also help them grow into a confident and respectful individual Six Blades is the place to be! They also have adult classes that my husband loved! The adult classes were nicely structured for all levels (from beginner to advanced). The instructors provide clear and concise explanations, breaking down complex techniques into manage steps for the beginners! From the moment you step on the mat you will receive excellent instruction.
Enrolling my 7-year-old son at Sixblades Jujitsu has been a fantastic experience. The welcoming environment, informative and professional instructors, clean facilities, and the opportunity for my son to train with many kids his age have made our time there exceptional. I am impressed by the highly experienced staff who provide personalized attention and create a safe, friendly atmosphere for all students. I wholeheartedly recommend Sixblades Jujitsu to any parent looking to introduce their child to the world of martial arts.
Everyone on the mats is friendly and willing to help you learn, especially the higher belts. Sensei Harris is not only a smashing machine, he is also incredibly great with the kids in this sport. His way of teaching applies to competition and how to defend yourself in the real world. Once you join, you’re family and that says a lot about the environment Sensei and everyone who rolls here have created and continue to nurture. Starting this journey in BJJ has been incredibly beneficial, mostly off the mat in my everyday life. I look forward to my continued growth and I couldn’t ask for a better guide on this journey, thank you Sensei Harris. Oss!
If you are new to Brazilian jujitsu and want to learn or want to expand your skills I couldn't think of a better school in the area other than this school here. Professor Harris is truly a one of a kind instructor with the experience and credit to back every word or valuable lesson through his teachings. He excercises the true integrity of Brazilian Jujitsu the Riberiro way and keeps the mats clean after every class! Brazilian jujitsu will better your life and Ribeiro Jujitsu is the way to practice.
I've lived all around the country and have had the opportunity to train at great schools like Gracie Barra, Relson Gracie, Royce Gracie, the Machado brothers, and Alliance. That being said, Jeremy Harris' Saulo Ribeiro Academy has been the best school that I have trained at by far. Jeremy teaches solid fundamentals that can be used as self defense and will help you win Jiu-Jitsu competitions. His gym is brand new, super clean, and nice. I highly recommend that you check out Jeremy's school. It is fun and the people are all very welcoming, plus you can get a great workout.
