Message to White Belts starting out. Being a white belt usually sucks at most gyms. Most people quit early because gyms let ego run the room, coaches lack the ability to look after the safety of the students and are focused more on technique execution, and you get hurt. That’s not what happens at Marco’s gym. This is a real no-discouragement environment with none of the " "fighter BS" you see elsewhere. Marco is the kind of coach who draws the best out of you not just as a student, but as a person and you learn in a safe environment. There’s real chemistry on the mats, and he knows how to meet you where you are while still demanding your best. He approaches jiu-jitsu as a true professional and this is evident in the students capabilities, attitudes and respect for the training and each other. I train with chronic health conditions, and Marco is always aware and adaptable, adjusting intensity and technique so I can train consistently, sa
I cannot express how grateful we are for Bulls Jiu Jitsu and Professor Marco! My son, who was not even 4 years old when he started, had the amazing opportunity to try Jiu Jitsu early (technically you need to be 4 when you start) and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. From day one, Professor Marco has shown remarkable patience and a genuine passion for teaching. He creates a fun and engaging atmosphere that keeps my son excited about every class. It's heartwarming to see him not only learning the techniques but also understanding the importance of mat rules and discipline. The way Professor Marco connects with the kids is truly special, making every lesson enjoyable while instilling valuable life skills. I was not aware of the concept of what Jiu Jitsu teaches—confidence, respect, and perseverance—and I’m now thrilled to see how my son will grow both on and off the mat. If you're considering enrolling your child, I
I have no background in martial arts training whatsoever and am 38 years old. I enrolled both my 5 year old daughter and myself this month. So far I’ve been blown away! Wow… Marco is a master teacher and is able to tailor his approach to the level of each individual student. For the young children, the class is about exercise/ coordination, teaching discipline, and life lessons. He also lays the foundations for movement that will serve them at their next level, and practices some basic moves with them. My daughter has a fantastic time and is always excited to go. The classes for older kids is exactly the progression of what you would expect. The longer they have been training, the more complex it gets. Everyone seems to have a great time. His focus for beginner adults is squarely on saftey for everyone involved and teaching proper technique. He knows that we have jobs, and can’t afford to get injuries. This was made clear when I signed
I visited Bulls BJJ in Parker as a drop-in visitor, and was impressed. From the moment I walked in, I found a warm, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere that makes it easy for anyone to feel at home on the mats. Professor Marco is a top-tier instructor. He is IBJJF certified and his lineage, having received his black belt from Guto Campos, is world-class. It’s clear that Marco is a full-time professional instructor who has dedicated his life to this art, and his passion is immediately apparent in the way he teaches all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a day-one beginner, parent of a younger child, a higher-level practitioner looking for technical refinement, an over the hill enthusiast trying to maintain your skills, just trying to stay in shape or learn self defense, Marco has the background and passion to help you achieve your goals.
My Son has been attending Bulls Jiu Jitzu consistently for the past six months. He was a student of Marco at another gym and we followed him to this new gym as many of his students have. Professor Marco’s system is kid friendly and focuses on youth character, technique, and martial arts development. He alway implements new and engaging age appropriate physical activities that translate to Jiu Jitzu technique and also multi-sport athletics. Marco has tremendous patience with the students and understands how to reach kids whose attention may struggle in other areas such as traditional school settings. Jiu Jitzu is teaching my son that learning is a process and patience is a key to long term development. As a school teacher, Muay Thai coach, and youth football coach, I would recommend anyone to Bulls Jiu Jitzu as I have already referred several friends.
We’ve been part of Bulls Jiu Jitsu for almost a year now, and we couldn’t be happier. Professor Marco is truly amazing. Our son started first, and training here has been incredible for helping channel his hyperactivity in a positive way. Soon after, our older daughter joined, and the boost in her confidence has been remarkable. Eventually my husband and I decided to jump in too, and we’re so glad we did! I absolutely love my classes and all the wonderful women who train here. Bulls Jiu Jitsu has become a place our whole family looks forward to every week. Highly recommend!
