I can’t say enough good things about Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors are outstanding; knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in everyone’s growth, regardless of experience level. The atmosphere is welcoming, professional, and consistently high quality. I have trained at multiple gyms and have been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai for several years. I am also a defensive tactics instructor for my department, so I am very intentional about where and how I train. What truly sets Taps apart is Jesse, the owner, and his ability to tailor instruction not only to sport Jiu-Jitsu, but also to real-world self-defense. Beyond traditional BJJ, Jesse offers specific classes through EFC (Effective Fitness Combatives) that focus on realistic scenarios, combining striking and grappling in a way that directly applies to real-world encounters and law enforcement needs. The training is practical, thoughtful, and directly tra
I love this place, and so does my whole family. My girls, 12 and 14, take Jiu-Jitsu with Jesse and its been so great for them. You can see their self confidence and awareness grow practically every class. There aren't many girls in martial arts in general, but the girls feel safe and able to learn in the warm and welcoming environment Jesse has created here. I really cant say enough about how amazing the people are, both instructors and other clients. There is such an aura of respect and hard work, and fun playful lessons that keep the kids actively engaged the whole time. I *highly* recommend you stop by if you are thinking your kids could use some exercise, fun, and self-confidence. Then Jesse talked my husband into starting to take lessons too, and he goes to the early morning and some later classes. Being able to go before work really opens his schedule up to be able to fit more lessons in. Its so awesome they make classes that work
I walked into Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a year ago with zero martial arts experience, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. The training is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every class pushes me to improve while still being a blast. I also started Muay Thai with Coach Wade, and it’s been an awesome challenge learning both striking and grappling under such skilled coaches. I was so impressed with the gym that I got my two sons into it, and they’ve been hooked ever since. It’s amazing to see their confidence and skills grow, thanks to Jesse and the incredible coaching staff. Another huge plus? Plenty of class options throughout the week, making it easy to fit training into a busy schedule. Whether you’re looking to learn self-defense, get in shape, or just have fun while pushing yourself, Taps BJJ is the place to be. Highly recommend!
I’ve been training Jiu Jitsu for about 4 years. I’ve been training with Taps Bjj for the past 9 months or so since moving to Colorado. The school I came from was a very special place to me and when looking for a new school i intended on trying several schools before committing. After an open mat and 1 gi class at Taps I could tell this would be a great place to train, signed up and haven’t looked back. I enjoy the way Professor Jesse teaches Bjj techniques, relates what he teaches to his own Bjj game and encourages different practices and techniques to work for the individual. This is a great room to train in to try and hone technique during sparring or have an all out controlled dog fight. I love it. Highly recommend Taps Bjj.
Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Professor Taps is not just a skilled Jiu-Jitsu practitioner but a passionate instructor dedicated to helping every student achieve their full potential. The welcoming and supportive environment at Taps creates a sense of camaraderie among students, fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you'll feel right at home. Professor Taps' emphasis on continuous improvement adds an intellectual dimension to the physically challenging training sessions. In summary, I highly recommend Taps Training Center to anyone interested in Jiu-Jitsu. The combination of Professor Taps' expertise, the supportive community, and the commitment to personal growth make it a standout choice for martial arts enthusiasts at any level.
Me and my two daughters joined Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and couldn't be happier with my decision! Jesse is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He ensures that each class is both challenging and rewarding, providing personal attention to all students, regardless of their skill level. The community here is welcoming and supportive, making you feel like part of the family from day one. The facilities are top-notch, always clean and well-maintained. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, I highly recommend Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for anyone looking to improve their skills in a friendly and professional environment.
