Let me preface this by saying I previously trained at three other gyms, one MMA gym in Texas and an MMA and a Muay Thai gym in California. While I had great experiences at all three, I can say, without a doubt, that Imperial is the best gym where I’ve trained. 1. Owners/Management The owners and coaches are what set this place apart. Imperial is a family-owned business, and the owner, Duc, and his family, take care to value everyone who walks through the door to train. Without fail, Duc walked up and personally greeted me every time I came to the gym, a practice he extends to every member. All the other coaches were equally as personable, engaged and approachable. They care, and they want you to learn and have a good experience. There’s no commercial, faceless feeling at Imperial. It’s the ideal environment if you’re a beginner and feeling intimated about starting. Imperial is the place to do it. 2. Gym Space A large, clean, beautiful,
The coaches at this gym truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, valued, and respected. Their classes for both adults and kids are exceptional. Coach Duc ensures every class is enjoyable, often adding a bit of humor to the mix. Coach Cano tailors his approach to meet each student's needs, whether you're a seasoned practitioner or stepping onto the mat for the first time. Coach Jake is dedicated to transforming kids into confident young warriors. Unlike bigger gyms where you might feel overlooked, this gym genuinely cares about your growth and prepares you for your jiu-jitsu goals. As a female, I've found this gym to have the most women in BJJ classes that I've ever seen, all eager to train and support each other. They offer 6 a.m. classes for early risers, as well as afternoon and evening sessions, making it easy to fit training into any schedule. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing the benefits of this gym for y
I come from a wrestling background and I haven’t touched the mat in almost 15 years and stepping foot in Imperial Jiujitsu & Kickboxing scratched an itch I’ve had since. I have been looking for a BJJ gym for a while now so I inquired about the FREE 7-day trial and have already gotten HOURS of training in this week! What I like about this gym is how the coaches have the ability to really hone in on each individual and refine technique. Rather than being forgotten in the corner of the room and going through the motions. This allows for a solid foundation of technique and fundamentals to build off of. Also, the community is awesome! Everybody is so welcoming and helpful even though some are trained killers! Even the most experienced people were open to training with a BJJ beginner like me and really slowing it down and giving me tips along the way. Huge shoutout to Duc and Zach for being experts of their crafts, but also being genuinely ex
A friend recommended Imperial Jiujitsu and Kickboxing to me, and I’m so glad I took her advice. From the moment I walked in, the coaches and members were incredibly welcoming and professional. The instructors are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but they also take the time to ensure you’re learning proper technique, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for serious training. What really stands out, though, is the positive and respectful atmosphere. You feel like part of a community here, not just another face in the gym. Whether you're looking to get in shape, learn self-defense, or take your jiujitsu or kickboxing to the next level, Imperial is the place to be. Highly recommend!
From the very first moment I stepped in here, I felt welcomed and included by the community. I was recommended this place, and everyone I've talked to who trains here were friendly and had only good things to say about it. The space itself is nice and clean. I tried the muay thai, judo, and jiu-jitsu classes, and all the instructors were attentive, knowledgeable, and encouraging. I could tell they were passionate and invested in helping students learn the different techniques. In addition, they care very much about your safety on the mats which I greatly appreciated. They also offer women's classes which, in my opinion, is an important marker to look out for in a good gym! I highly recommend Imperial and couldn't thank them enough for making me feel at ease and at home here.
My teen daughter and I have been attending classes at Imperial for the last several months and we remain continually impressed; Imperial is an amazing place to learn martial arts. It’s family owned and operated, with gear and matts in great shape. It’s always super clean and comfortable. All of the coaches are excellent and meet us where we are at. Everyone is patient, instructors and peers alike, and there are no egos to deal with here! Seriously. Students can safely and comfortably spar at any level, with just about any partner here. Communication around expectations in sparring is common here, and everyone can participate, no matter their experience level. I was recently personally impacted by the government shut down and Duc and T, the wonderful owners, have my family’s back and have give us a break during this difficult time. This a great community of people who are also bad ass martial artists! Appreciate you guys a lot!
