My children and I have had an outstanding experience training as a family at Six Blades. From the moment we joined, we felt genuinely welcomed into the Six Blades family. It is a community that supports growth, respect, and camaraderie at every level of training. The structured classes and clear progression make learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rewarding for both adults and kids, and the environment consistently reflects professionalism and genuine encouragement. A special shoutout to Sensei Antunes for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to building not just skilled martial artists, but confident, disciplined individuals. His presence sets the tone for a culture rooted in respect and mutual support. The other professors and coaches also deserve recognition for bringing their experience, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every class, making each session engaging and motivating. Whether you’re starting your first class or advancing your
I met Professor Rodrigo at an open house at his new school. I went to support friends and the BJJ community. Professor Rodrigo greeted me like an old friend. I was having trouble training due to my hectic work schedule and not being able to attend scheduled classes, and I went to a Six Blades class to get some training in. What I didn't expect was that I would love the community and the curriculum. I had been training at an excellent academy, but ultimately I decided to join Six Blades South Denver for its better schedule and middle-aged friendly curriculum. The instruction is top-notch, and there’s also focus on longevity. As a soon to be 56-year-old, I’m looking to practice BJJ for the rest of my life. I feel that I can do that at Six blades, and everyone is verysupportive in my goals. If you want to learn Brazilian, jujitsu, learn to move better, and be around very good people, Six blades is for you!
I can’t say enough great things about this Jiu-Jitsu school! From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed into an environment that fosters **discipline, health, and camaraderie**. The instructors are top-notch—skilled, patient, and committed to teaching the art of Jiu-Jitsu in a way that not only sharpens technique but also instills a deep sense of respect and discipline. They emphasize the importance of hard work, focus, and perseverance, which has not only helped me on the mat but in everyday life as well. In addition to discipline, this school is all about **health and fitness**. The training is challenging but accessible to all levels, and I’ve seen tremendous improvement in my physical strength, stamina, and overall well-being. Every class is a full-body workout, and I leave each session feeling stronger, both mentally and physically. One of the most unique aspects of this school is the **sense of camaraderie**. The community here
My family is fairly new to Six blades. My son has been training for two and a half years at another gym. It was not a good fit for him as I wanted something more intimate and family oriented. In our brief time here I’ve been very impressed with how Rodrigo runs everything. I researched Six Blades and Rodrigo quite a bit. His credentials speak for themselves. His technical abilities are something special, but more importantly to me is I feel my son will become a better human training here. There’s a large amount of accountability for respect, responsibility and even diet. These are all important values in our household. I’m confident my son will become a great Jiu Jitsu player/partner and training here will help him succeed in many areas of life. Rodrigo and all of the instructors are top notch! I have to add that I’ve alway had a huge amount of respect for Jiu Jitsu. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try, due to a bad car accident ye
I have been training consistently at Six Blades for a year and a half, starting with absolutely no prior experience in martial arts or combat sports. In that short time, Jiu-Jitsu has fundamentally transformed my mental, physical, and spiritual health while helping me develop practical, real-world self-defense skills. My four-year-old daughter has also been training and is thriving. Beyond mastering basic techniques, she is learning crucial values and habits like self-discipline, respect for others, healthy eating, and how to deescalate unnecessary conflict. It's an environment built on support, respect, and mutual growth. The instruction here is truly second to none. Having trained at various facilities in Denver and across the U.S., I can confidently say that Sensei Rodrigo and all of the Six Blades instructors are incredibly technical and dedicated. They generously give their time and energy to every student, ensuring everyone achiev
Today I visited Six Blades Jiu Jitsu for the first time as a visitor. I met the Program Director and Professor Rodrigo Antunes, who was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I also got to meet and train with Professor Marco Flores and "Smokey" Adams, who teaches Judo. I was very impressed with everyone professionalism and respect for the martial arts. The gym was clean and the atmosphere was energetic. The hours they train will fit most people's schedule. Although I am only here for about another week, I will train here again a couple more times, before I travel back home. I recommend to anyone who wants to train Jiu Jitsu or Judo to come check out Six Blades Jiu Jitsu in Denver, you won't be disappointed. Thank you again Professor Rodrigo for the training.
