New Era Jiu Jitsu and Professor Matt Sierra If you're looking for a premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience in Colorado, look no further than New Era Jiu Jitsu under the exceptional guidance of Professor Matt Sierra. Our family has had the privilege of training with Matt for several years, and we cannot recommend him and his gym highly enough. Our journey with New Era Jiu Jitsu began when our son started training under Professor Sierra at the tender age of 5. Over the course of seven transformative years, we witnessed our son grow not only in his martial arts skills but also in his confidence, discipline, and respect for others. Professor Matt's passion for teaching and his innate ability to connect with children are truly unparalleled. He has an extraordinary gift for making every child feel valued and capable, fostering an environment where they can thrive both on and off the mats. As a family, we embraced the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle toget
I have known Professor Matt Sierra for 9 years and really happy to see he has his own place. New Era just opened which means you get to train on brand new super high quality mats. Small class size with lots of focus on detail and individual attention. The place is squeaky clean and has friendly welcoming atmosphere. Professor Sierra attracts a certain type of Jiu Jitsu player so when you walk in you won't be getting eye balled by tatted muscled dudes looking at you like fresh meat, nor will you be training with guys who think every roll is a competition. Whether you are an upper belt searching for some quality instruction or someone who has never tried Jiu Jitsu I cannot recommend this place enough. Come try it out!
I have known Professor Matt for 3 years, his knowledge and instruction are world class. He is an amazing father to his kids so the kids classes here are phenomenal. The school has plenty of mat space, impeccably clean bathrooms, a changing room, and cubbies to keep your stuff organized. If you are looking for a place to train, learn a martial art, or just get in shape, this is the best place. It's not just about getting amazing instruction, but about having a great culture and group of people to train with, this is the best place for all of the above. When you go in, tell them Logan sent you!
Professor Matt and the New Era Team are phenomenal! The Facility is wonderful and always clean! The community from the parents to the kids are truly one of a kind. My son has been in the "lil jellies" program for a few months and he is loving it. He's excited to go to Jiu-Jitsu every day and even wakes up almost daily and asks "is today a Jiu-Jitsu day" It has also helped his focus and patience tremendously! Thank you Professor Matt and the rest of the New Era family!
As someone who used contact sports to maneuver the speed bumps of my youth. We are so fortunate that our niece has New Era. We were surprised when BJJ became an overnight obsession, wanting to grapple on the dining room floor, and correct our moves. Her first gym has easily become a favorite of mine. The lessons that the professors teach go beyond that of the mat. We travel exclusively almost an hour away to have the experience this gym provides. Safe, welcoming - truly a pillar of the community. Pushing all those that attend to mirror and exceed the expectations. A place that life lessons are taught daily - and even more so BJJ. Couldn’t be happier and more proud to be a member and support New Era.
We have been bringing my daughter to train at New Era and have been impressed since the first day! The gym is beautiful, extremely clean, and spacious. Everyone at New Era has been welcoming and very knowledgeable. You can really feel the passion and time that Professor Matt, coach Andrea, Valerie, and Randy put into the gym and all the people training there. We loved it so much that my husband and I have started training here as well. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend checking it out! Thank you New Era!
