I started my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu path with Profs Mike & Sheena Bidwell at Grounds (formerly known as Flo Life BJJ+) in December 2023. I'd wanted to train BJJ for several years, but didn't know where to begin. I felt a little nervous walking into a school and assumed everyone would be much more advanced than myself. A friend recommended I check out this school, stating he trainined with Mike and that he is a "world class instructor" who focuses on safety in his step-by-step curriculum. I called the school and spoke to Sheena. She he invited me to come in and try a class for free. It took a couple weeks for me to do so, but as soon as I came in I saw there several other students who were just beginning and I felt comfortable right away. That's when my path began. I immediately enrolled my 3 kids into classes where they received the skills and knowledge needed to become confident in life, not to mention they learned how to defend themselve

Grounds is great. I love training jiu-jitsu there. And it's an awesome spot for kids to engage in enriching activities instead of more screen time. The owners are lovely people that put their hearts into everything that they do. The space is so relaxing and I always feel such a great energy there. It's always first on my list of places to go when I visit Colorado.
Mike and Sheena have an amazing space and their personalities and teaching styles are very welcoming and accessible at all skill levels. They are a dynamic jiu jitsu power couple, and Grounds is a wonderful space to train….especially if you like a cup of coffee!
Mike and Sheena are great. They provide high quality technical jiu-jitsu instruction that all levels - white belt to black belt - can immediately implement in their games. And more importantly - they are fun and friendly people! Check out Grounds.
By far the best place I’ve ever trained. I train here with my teenage son and we have found our place. The instruction is excellent and the culture is top notch. Can’t recommend highly enough.
