This program had been recommended by some friends, and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. I enrolled both of my kids, age 6 and age 8. The coaches are amazing with the kids. The class helps create focus, discipline, confidence, and respect. Most of the class is geared towards learning skills and controlling their bodies. The kids have to learn to deal with adversity but with support from the coaches and their peers. They offer free class, which can help you decide if this is a good fit or not. It has been a joy to watch my kids grow mentally and physically. They have adult classes and good times that allow you to train before or after work.
Professor Teddy Vida and Mona have an amazing Brazilian jiu jitsu studio in Concord! Teddy is an excellent coach and teacher, as he is observant, patient, communicative and highly skilled in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The other students are friendly and welcoming. I recently joined after a fantastic trial, where Teddy and I spoke about my personal goals of fitness and self defense. He’s been delivering awesome lessons and I feel confident he will help me accomplish my goals. I highly recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu Concord!
Highly recommended if you’re interested in training Jiu-Jitsu or already have experience. Coach Teddy brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the mats and provides a down to earth and welcoming gym culture. If you’re an early riser like me, they have 6:15am adult classes Monday-Friday and 6:15pm adult evening classes, as well.
I couldn’t be more pleased with this Ralph Gracie BJJ School! Coach Ted speaks to my 6yo son with respect and kindness. He holds the kids to a high standard. I appreciate teaching the kids to take care of those younger (or lower in level) than you. I am meeting other parents from my son’s elementary school too! The kids build relationships with each other and do a good job including others. So your first grader might find a fourth grader saying hi to him/her at school.
This BJJ gym is so amazing!! Our son has only been attending for 5 months and his confidence and eagerness to learn the moves of this martial art/combat sport is wonderful to see. Professor Ted Vida is passionate about the sport and he demands excellence and it is evident in the gym. We are lucky to have found this gym. There are many Brazilian jiu jitsu gyms in Concord and nearby cities but the standard here at Ralph Gracie - Concord is why we opted to enroll our child . Best decision!!
