ENDVR BJJ is a nogi only bjj program ran by Coach Andrew Baek. It is very warm and welcoming jiu jitsu school. The students are very respectful to each other and guests. They make sure to acknowledge everyone who comes through the door, which can be a huge relief when you’re doing drop ins or trial classes because you instantly feel like you belong there. ENDVR is more of a hobbyist gym, rather than some gyms that are heavily competition focused. This doesn’t mean that the students don’t roll hard, but there’s less emphasis on podium placing. Coach Andrew is also very humble and understanding, he doesn’t foster a harsh culture that some schools have. He’s very understanding accommodating to the fact that we all have different lives, understanding when people arrive late or need to leave early. Moreover, he offers classes 7 days a week, evenings in during the week, and morning classes on the weekends. Coach Andrew is a former 10th Planet
Training at Endvr Jiu Jitsu with Coach Andrew Baek has been an incredible experience! I have been training here since the gym opened. The environment is so friendly and welcoming. It truly feels like a family from the moment you step in. Andrew takes his time to teach and guide every student, no matter their skill level, which shows how much he cares about helping everyone improve. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, making it an ideal place to train. If you’ve ever thought about trying jiu-jitsu, I highly recommend giving it a shot at Endvr Jiu Jitsu. Everyone should train BJJ at least once in their life, and this is the place to do it!
So I been training since 2013 and I gotta say this has been one of the best schools for Nogi jiu jitsu in my opinion. Coach Andrew is also one of the most humblest dudes I’ve met. Very respectful and considerate of each of his students both on and off the mat. On top of that his technique is really solid. He pays attention to detail and is very patient. I know in the beginning of a individual journey it can be very intimidating especially just starting out but Coach Andrew puts an emphasis on understanding his students, the level of training and is very helpful with detail to help improve their skill in the art. So if your in the east bay and are looking to start you Jiu jitsu journey come check them out. I promise you will not regret it. I know most that been training can say the same about the school they prefer but I’d say go see for yourself and see what they’re all about. So check them out🤙🏾
Training Jiu-Jitsu with Coach Andrew is fantastic. His instruction is clear and easily digestible for all levels. Coach Andrew’s attention to detail and passion for teaching really stands out. Andrew is patient, encouraging, and takes the time to ensure everyone feels confident in what they’re learning. Coach Andrew creates a safe and positive environment training environment. Andrew is exceptional practitioner of Jiu Jitsu however he’s an even better instructor.
Great new place to train no gi jiujitsu! Coach Andrew ran a fun and challenging class. Warm up was well thought out and incorporated key elements of the focus moves. Much of the class was starting standup hand wrestling and takedowns. This was followed by rolling, might have been 5 min rounds. Its a large space and impressively clean. Theres also plenty of parking. Big diverse group of people and sizes which makes for fun rolls. Although it was a big group, I felt I received individual feedback and guidance. Very welcoming!
If you’re looking for a friendly, clean, and competent place to learn and practice Brazilian jiu jitsu, this is the place. Tucked in the quiet and unassuming neighborhood of San Leandro, this spacious gym is home to an array of knowledgeable black belt instructors and a community of hard-working individuals. What makes this place great is the culture it’s developed. Andrew maintains a balance of respect and tradition, while still promoting a laid back and friendly atmosphere and teaching time-proven fundamentals along with new-age techniques.
