The spirit of this academy is one of family and love. I received nothing but love from the moment I walked thru the door. Professor Victor Barreto provides world class Jiujitsu techniques that he uses in his current competitions that is effective, practical and wins. Coach Chris has a tremendous acumen and situational awareness of BJJ. I watched the kids classes for BJJ and Muay Thai....nothing short of AMAZING. The kids have so much heart and dedication to the sport, to the training center and especially to all of the coaches. The kids are so respectful and exude the confidence of champions. Coach Chris promotes education and honorable school performance and the kids do not disappoint Coach Chris or Professor Barreto. Terrific Jiujitsu that rivals any competition team without having to be a competitor and the GI's are FIRE!!!!
This gym offers the best jiu jitsu in the city of San Diego with professor Victor Barreto and team. He is very knowledgeable and teaches world class techniques. He will groom you to be the best jiu jitsu athlete that you want to be. Secondly, they have kids classes whereas Professor Victor along with Coach Kevin create a great learning atmosphere for the kids to make it fun and enjoyable. Most importantly, they care more about making them great human beings outside the mats. Also, they have adult classes that range from advanced to novice. Coach Chris leads the fundamentals white belt classes where students learn from the ground up. Coach Chris has a passion in seeing his students learn techniques for survival, escaping, and transitional offensive drills. Ever since my son started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at One Legacy his confidence levels have gone up, he’s more out going, very dedicated and very disciplined. It has changed his life for the better on and off the mat. Besides my son continuing his Jiu-Jitsu journey, he’s now taking the MMA and Muay Thai classes with One Legacy. I’m beyond thankful for Professor Victor, Coach Christian and Coach Hugo as they’ve been such a positive influence on my son and I will forever be grateful for this gym.
I have been training with Professor Victor Barreto since 2020. Him and the staff provide world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction. His expertise and knowledge of the martial art inspires me to continue practicing and train weekly. His character is humble, warm, and welcoming. The facility is clean, robust, and lively. There is a warm family feel to the academy and I definitely recommend anyone at any level of martial arts to come to the facility and train.
I can't recommend this training center enough! From the moment we walked in the door, my wife and I were greeted with warmth and kindness. The staff truly make you feel like family, and they go out of their way to ensure that you have the best experience possible. We were impressed by the level of expertise that the trainers had, and they were always available to answer any questions that we had. Not only did we learn a lot, but we also had a lot of fun along the way. We left feeling more confident and empowered, and we're grateful for the skills that we gained. This is one of the best boxing places that my daughter has went to yet! I love the way they all train her, support her, and inspire her. My daughter and me recommend coach Hector, he’s great with the kids there, he was my daughters first coach there and she had a lot of fun and she got taught good thing on how to protect herself. All the coaches there are great they teach the kids how to defend themselves. My daughter’s posture and boxing skills have been improving since she started with coach Hector.
