This place is amazing, everyone is nice and kind especially the instructors, they are very patient and determined to push their students above and beyond. I’ve been here for almost 2 months and by far one of the greatest experience that I’ve had when it comes to martial arts, or in Muay Thai. The classes are like in a normal pace where instructors pushed their students to push or test their limits, which is something great if you just wanted to get into shape or to be stronger and learn self defenses. Overall I just generally love this place, have such nice community and definitely would recommend it to anyone that is interested in learning Muay Thai!!!
Training in Muay Thai at SWAMA has been a gift to me. It has definitely helped me with my overall confidence. Once I began training Muay Thai, my confidence exploded. Not only did I feel like I could defend myself physically, but I felt much more confident handling myself in a variety of other difficult situations. Muay Thai is also a great conversation starter. I found that it was easier to talk to people when explaining what I do in the gym (plus, people seem genuinely fascinated by it). And it's only when I look back now, that I see all the difference. I know some people here have had similar experiences. Muay Thai taught me to get up even (and especially) when I’m face-down on the floor and I do not think I can move anymore. There were frustrating days when the technique of a combination eluded me or when the conditioning reached peak intensity. So, I had to channel Muay Thai resilience to pick myself up and keep pushing forward. Mu
When I was looking for a Muay Thai gym, I knew the place had to have a few things at least: -a good community with a great culture of comradery and respect -a beginner friendly atmosphere that values bringing up novices as much as it values honing advanced fighters -legitimately skilled teachers with years of practice under their belt and great teaching ability I researched the area’s Muay Thai gyms and committed to Swama, which has all the things I was looking for. I’ve been hooked since.
My kids 9 and 14 have been going to this gym for 6 yrs now and when my youngest started he would cry and not want to go but now he is on his way to getting his black sash. It has improved both my kids confidence and attitude. They have made memories and friends that cannot be measured and a skill that can take them far in life. For anyone who's thinking of bringing their kids or even for themselves it's great place to share with the whole family.
Just based off of my first week, I sense a strong camaraderie in this program, not just from social interactions but everyone working hard and trying to get better. I assumed when I first started that I was gonna have to "catch up" to everyone's level but I personally didn't feel left behind. I think its because everyone at the gym is just focus on trying to get better and to learn more. So even though I'm still learning the basics, there's people who I think know more than I do still probably think the same way as me. We're ALL just here to learn more, we all know what it's like to start from the beginning, and we're all just trying to get better everyday. HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOINING!
This is by far the best martial arts school.. place is spacious, always as clean as it can be, everybody is super friendly and kind, and all the masters have quite the techniques and tricks to make the class exactly what you need. Perfect balance between good workout and great techniques!!!! Would definitely recommend this school to everybody I know!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻 Very excited to become part of the fam... SWAMA Team 💯!!!! Thanks a lot guys!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
