Revolution is a great place for kids to learn jiujitsu and discipline. My son has been going for a year and my daughter was eager to start after watching a few classes and now loves it too! Sensei Jeff, Coach Phil, Coach Sam, Coach Jeff and Coach Angela are consistently at the classes making sure the kids are safe and having fun. My kids look forward to seeing their jiujitsu friends every week and the community is very strong. Added bonus, the studio is very clean, there is ample parking and there is a Target in the same plaza :)
The most incredible gym with fantastic instructors and a team-is-family mentality. As a petite woman trying Jiu Jitsu out for the first time, it can be really intimidating to walk into a gym and give it a shot. From the moment I set foot on the mat at Revolution I was wholeheartedly welcomed, and made to feel capable, empowered and deserving of a spot in the gym. Sensei Jeff has created a culture of excellence and a real sense of family with his gym. It's been almost a year and I haven't looked back. The facilities are excellent, there are multiple classes every day for all levels so whatever your schedule/skill level, there's a place for you, and the instructors are patient, incredibly knowledgable, and will push you to be a better fighter than you ever thought possible. And the PEOPLE. Honestly, the people make the place. I competed for the first time last month and I cannot tell you what a difference it makes to look over at the side
Revolution Martial Arts is a great place to learn the art of Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense. It is an even better place to break through any perceived internal limitations, learn to remain calm during stressful situations, and make long lasting friendships. Revolution is truly for everyone – there are classes for beginners, advanced, women’s only, and children. Sensei Jeff has done a wonderful job cultivating an inclusive atmosphere where individuals can improve their lives by learning the beautiful art of Jiu Jitsu. Having recently moved across country to Los Angeles, I am very grateful to have found a community in Revolution Martial Arts. It has improved my life immeasurably, particularly in areas that I was not expecting. I am proud to be a member of the Revolution family.
We love the staff and the sense of community at Revolution. My children and husband have been attending for the last couple of years. The school's approach has been "meet students where they are ."They are gentle with beginners, and as they progress, they increase the challenge. Sensei and Master are kind, welcoming, and encouraging. They invite students to compete without pressure to do so. They honor where people are in their practice. They also have a women's group, which I started attending recently. They began with an emphasis on self-defense. The skills definitely helped boost my confidence. The class has slowly transitioned to the woman's jiujitsu team. There is an immediate sense of community, and everyone is so lovely. My older boys, ages 17 and 16, have started volunteering and have enjoyed supporting the younger students. It has allowed them to develop patience, focus, responsibility, and trustworthiness. We have practiced at
This place is amazing! My 7 y/o son started in the summer of last year and enjoys his lessons. This is saying a lot for a kid who does not like much. Sensei Jeff and the coaches have been wonderful from day 1. They teach Jiu Jitsu, self-discipline and valuable life lessons with compassion, patience with the right amount of firmness. I really appreciate that they are very inclusive of everyone. It really is a sport that anyone can join and very family friendly. My son does have special needs and where other places have given up on him, Sensei Jeff has not. Same with the coaches, especially Sam and Phil….they are unbelievably patient with him and much gratitude! He has learned a lot and continues to learn and love the sport.
I call this place my third home. Been training here for almost 2 years now. Having started BJJ at a different academy prior, I can tell you that Revolution had a far more welcoming environment for beginners. What I noticed right away was how positive the culture is over here. I also didn’t ever consider completing when I started, but thanks to Sensei Jeff, and the rest of the amazing coaching staff here. They gave me the confidence and skill to give it a shot and I’ve been able to win a few medals since. Shout out to coach Fabian, coach Tyler, and the rest of the 6am warriors who keep me on my active toes!
