Ive been at this gym everyday for 6 months consistently, I know everyone at the gym, to the staff and coaches, i know what does happen and doesnt happen at the gym and everyday the staff and coaches treated everyone will nothing but care, and respect for every student, to the beginners to the advanced. If you know nothing about martial arts or want to learn MMA, I highly, highly recommend it, there's no ego from the coaches to the students, there's no hard sparring where you could get seriously hurt. The coaches and staff are very good at telling students who does go a bit too hard, to go light at sparring or be ask to switch sparring partners. If your new to MMA, Muay Thai, or BJJ, the coach will be notified if there's any new students that day and the coach will go slow and simplify the work for you. The atmosphere is awesome, welcoming, and professional, I highly recommend it for all levels, you'll be able to learn the beautiful art
I have been going to Moorimgoong for the past couple months now. I have joined them for group classes and even private lessons. The team at Moorimgoong is elite and the best in LA. If you’re looking to learn mixed martial arts, boxing, and self defense, look no further. This has been a family business for a very very long time and the history and culture behind Moorimgoong mixed martial arts is pure. I’m not just learning how to fight, I’m learning the culture and I’m becoming mentally sharper. 5/5 would recommend especially if you are new and just don’t know where to start. 5/5 would recommend if you have experience. The owner has dedicated his entire life to learning and training. He even trains today with other world class trainers to perfect his craft.
I absolutely love training here so far! The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and very supportive—especially as a woman, that really matters to me. The instructors are amazing: kind, patient, and genuinely invested in helping you learn. Every class is a great workout, and I’m already learning so many new skills and discipline. I also love that I can mix and match and take different types of classes, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend this gym!
We just tried to set up an appointment to make this place as a first option but ended up liking everything! The place, the people and the staff made us feel like this is the right place for our kid. From cleanliness and ventilation that's perfect. Owners are are very accomodating. They answer all your questions and concerns kindly, patiently and respectfully. They discuss pricing and plans with no pressure. Pricing for their programs seems very reasonable too. Most of all, the professionalism, attention and focus they give during the class is commendable. I love the way they check the perfect form, position or posture during training esp for new moves. My kid loves coming and training here for MMA. Really, as a picky Mom, I highly recommend this place!
I visited this place on 5/24 ( Memorial day weekend) and area was well kept, clean and very welcoming. There was a separate place to securely leave my bag, gear, and shoes as well. The mat space was also very clean and they where also really comfortable and soft. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating as well especial Daniel. If your looking to do martial arts I'd highly suggest checking this place out. The photo is of me and Rob from Mcdojo at the studio.
I’ve been training at MRG MMA recently and it’s been a great experience. The coaches are super knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and they really make sure you’re learning properly. The gym is clean, organized, and has a really good vibe. Serious but not intimidating. Classes are well-structured but still chill enough that you don’t feel out of place, even if you’re new. Definitely a great spot if you want to train seriously but also feel comfortable.
