Our journey began in October 2024 inside Antedote in Century City, where Andrew had been teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Antedote members since that spring. After a year of growth, we opened our own home at 2014 Lincoln Blvd in Venice, launched our kids program, and added a Muay Thai program to deepen our roots in the community. Kaizen means continuous improvement — small, consistent progress compounding into something extraordinary. That’s how we run every class. Meet the Business Owner Hi there! I’m Andrew, the Founder of Kaizen Academy. For over a decade, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu — a passion that started back in 2016 when I began training under Scott Huston at 360 BJJ. In 2019, I made the move to sunny California, where I continued my journey and was proudly awarded my black belt in 2023. Today I compete actively at the IBJJF black belt level and teach every BJJ class at Kaizen personally — kids and adults. In addition to my BJJ credentials, I have previously held the following certifications: NASM Certified Personal Trainer and NASM MMA Conditioning Specialist. At Kaizen Academy, I’m dedicated to building not just a well-rounded BJJ and Muay Thai program, but also a vibrant and supportive community. Whether it’s through teaching classes, coaching at tournaments, or organizing family events, my goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome and motivated.
