My daughter has been going to Emerge for about a year now. The coaches are very knowledgeable and create a great learning environment. The facility is clean, has seating for parents and is very family friendly. Our original goal was for her to learn self defense, but she has learned so much more. My daughter went from being very shy, not wanting to try new things and giving up before she starts to confident and will keep trying until she gets it. My husband and I have seen such a positive impact that we both found new employers to make sure at least one of us is available to take her to class. Highly recommend!
My son has only been to a few classes at Emerge Jiu Jitsu so far, but he absolutely loves it and asks to go back all the time. The coaches and staff are incredibly patient and great with the kids. They do an excellent job balancing hard work with fun, making each class both productive and enjoyable. Pricing was also very reasonable and straightforward, which wasn’t the case with other local places we looked into.
Had my free trial visit today. The atmosphere and culture is very welcoming to newcomers or players returning to Jiu Jitsu after a long hiatus. You don’t get a sense of ego in this gym and there’s definitely no judgement from even the more advanced students. Loved that they offered me a free trial, signed up on the spot. Kingston had a great time! The instructor Brian did an amazing job with the kids. I love that it's faith based and very affordable. The gym was very clean and smelled fresh! There were multiple instructors walking around and assisting the kids individually which I thought was amazing. I'm so happy I found this place for my son!
We absolutely love this studio and the instructors here. They are incredibly patient and welcoming while giving consistent, sound instruction. My son has been here for about 2 years and we want him to continue for a long time because of the atmosphere he is surrounded by and helping him learn to control his impulses. My favorite part is that they are rooted in Christian values and are not ashamed to incorporate this into their classes.
