Look no further. If you want a gym to call home and feel like a family you have found it. Professor Chance and Coach Joe are top tier coaches. They have the utmost patience in teaching techniques and will show you multiple times how to perform the technique and not make you feel small or less than for needing extra coaching and mentoring. My kids also train under them and my kids love the coaching they receive. They are great with breaking it down so the kids can understand it. They’ve been training for a year and I love the confidence this sport and gym has instilled into them. It’s worth every penny spent. I rate this gym 10 stars ⭐️
Our kid spent three years training under another affiliation and we as a family were sad to find that the previous coaches did not uphold the values most important to us. We decided to do a trial at Full Metal and one other gym. After a few days at Full Metal, my six year old didn't want to leave and neither did we. Signed, sealed, delivered, she's yours... We've had a warm welcome into this new gym and the coaches are amazing with these kids. We're so happy for our kid to be able to train under these decorated coaches, build relationships with her teammates, and train in a place that upholds safety and integrity.
We started our BJJ journey a year ago. With this being our first gym, we wanted to make it a family experience for us and our 4 kids. 1 year later, we come daily, and have even competed. Before our kids were fighting often, lazy, and spent too much time playing games. Now each night we dedicate to getting better at something as a family. On top of this, my wife and I are in the best shape of our lives. - great times for classes - coaches are super helpful - competition prep - a fun an addictive hobby. Highly recommend for any family looking for better bonding time.
My son began taking classes at Full Metal when he was 4.5 years - a fabulous age to begin! The progress I’ve seen in his technique over the last several months is amazing. My toddler comes with me to both the children/adult classes and the atmosphere is truly family friendly! I love that there are opportunities for everyone in every phase of life. The coaches have been stellar with both of my kids on and off the mat. A variety of classes are offered during the day and in the evening making scheduling so much more flexible! We’ve really enjoyed being part of the Full Metal crew.
I don’t think I will ever find a gym like this one again. The culture here is so caring and welcoming. Women especially are treated amazingly and take care of each other. I started about 5 months ago, and from the beginning, I was treated with the upmost respect and motivation. They cover all aspects of self defense and Brazilian jujitsu, and even cover other skills like striking and grappling. Each class is carefully planned out to help you succeed and have a good sense of achievement. The coaches are always positive and happy to answer questions. They will train you to be the best athlete you can be. The bonds you get from both the men and women in the gym are for life. People like Nicole, Alyse, professor Norman, Joe, and Zoie, will bring you skill and self confidence you won’t find anywhere else. All you need to bring is some work out clothes and water because they supply gi’s to spar in. I highly recommend coming to this gym and te
I have trained with Professor Norman for many years. He is an excellent coach and a great person! His jiu jitsu is world class and he is extremely dedicated to teaching his students. My children also trained with Professor Norman and he is great with teaching kids as well. I highly recommend his academy to anyone looking to train jiu jitsu!
