If you have kids who want to do Jiu-Jitsu, or are interested in Jiu-Jitsu yourself, this is the place to sign up. The coaching is top notch! We signed our boys up and the confidence, strength, and discipline that they gain each class is unmatched! We searched all throughout the woodlands/montgomery/magnolia area for an exceptional Jiu-Jitsu academy that offers growth for our kids, and this is where we landed. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Classes are offered 6 days/week, so it’s flexible for those with a family. We love our growing Jiu-Jitsu community!
So many awesome things to say about Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming, which makes it a perfect place for both beginners and experienced grappler. They do an amazing job breaking down techniques so new students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. My daughter loves to train here!! What really stands out is how great they are with kids. The instructors are attentive, encouraging, and know how to keep the classes fun while still teaching discipline and solid fundamentals. It’s clear they genuinely care about helping every student grow both on and off the mat. I have three of my children enrolled in the classes, and they absolutely love the place. My son, who is 4 years old, found absolute happiness in this gym, and the love he has for the sport and the people there is visible. My daughters who are 7 and 9, are finding a new strength in themselves and realizing their potential while having fun. I can easily attribute the reasons why the sport and the gym are so fantastic for my kids: discipline, physical activity, hierarchy, respect. But above anything, the main reason why this gym is amazing is the people running it. The family who owns it put their absolute best to ensure this is a loving and welcoming environment. Every student receives lots of attention, and the sensei is just a formidable human being, developing the human skills in those kids that go beyond the sport and into real life. I recently joined this academy after trying a few classes at an MMA/no-gi gym. I could tell right away that it wasn’t the right fit beginners were pretty much thrown to the wolves, and there wasn’t much real instruction. I didn’t feel like I was actually learning anything. From day one here, the difference was huge. The instruction is incredibly beginner-friendly, hands-on, and detailed. The head instructor breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense, and they’re right there correcting technique and answering questions. I finally feel like I’m learning the “why” things work, not just trying to survive. The environment is super welcoming, and you can tell the owners really care about the academy, building a community, and helping you progress safely and confidently. Whether you’re brand new or coming from a rough intro-experience like I did, this is the perfect place to start or restart your Jiu-Jitsu journey. Highly recomm
