If you’re looking for a place to call your gym you have to come check out Genesis Jiu Jitsu in Burleson. My brother and I were invited here by now one our team mates and a good friend, to come check them out during a free roll they had one Saturday and we never left after that. Coach Randy is very informative and technical when it comes to his teaching, covering all bases you intend to use your training for whether it’s for you’re own personal self defense, looking to stay active, or if you’re trying to compete. At his gym he also has a group of very skilled coaches who assist with teaching the class. Such as Coach Bj who teaches some day and night classes. Coach Chris, and Coach Nick that also host personal training classes, precise workouts based on each person, and other MMA classes. I’m very thankful to have been guided to this gym and always eager to get back to learning from such a great Coach
Very friendly and competitive gym. I trained when I was 15 and wanted to get back into it 7 months ago. I was very worried about training again especially at a new gym but genius jiu jitsu welcomed me with open arms and made me comfortable to start training again. They encourage questions and actually care about you as a person. They're great training partners on and off the mat. If you want to learn a new martial art for a hobby or train to be a competitor I highly recommend gensis. They will help you work towards your goals and push you towards them.
My 4 kids age ranging from 16 to 8 have trained here for 4 years and I have for 3 years. This is the best family gym, good atmosphere, great helpful coaches and team mates. They also have a wrestling program twice a week for the kids and a homeschool class Monday and Wednesday mornings. If you're looking to try out jiujitsu or need a new gym bc of a move or any other reason don't hesitate to come make this gym your new home!!
I have been training with Genesis Jiu-Jitsu in Burleson since May 2025. The ladies class is wonderful and always worth the drive from Arlington. Lots of personal attention and I always feel safe and comfortable. Coaching is top notch. I train with women of varying ages, though being age 62, I'm definitely older than they are, though my age doesn't seem to matter. I have several physical challenges but my training accommodates my needs and helps me stay well and active.
I (Stephanie Paulson) have been training here for over three years in the ladies’ program and have nothing but great things to say about all of the coaches. Everyone is friendly and the coaches truly care about your safety as you learn. Every single coach I’ve had has been extremely supportive and encouraging. I highly recommend checking out the gym if you’re looking for a place to learn or continue your training. I’ve watched so many ladies (including myself) grow in confidence on the mats and it’s such a cool thing to be a part of!
Great Place to train. People are awesome treat you like family from day one. Coaches watch and assist each person to fine tune techniques regardless of the class size. Prices are upfront, reasonable and no hidden fees. Belt testing and ranking up is done based on performance and your increasing knowledge. You do NOT pay $ for promotions. All around the best place I have trained to date. Anyone wanting to learn or improve their Jiu Jitsu, this is the place to be. A side benefit is getting in shape and loosing weight.
