From the moment I walked in, i felt welcomed like part of the family. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate—not just about teaching jiu-jitsu, but about helping every student, from kids to adults, grow in confidence and discipline. What makes this gym special is the environment: it’s clean, safe, and supportive. Kids learn respect, teamwork, and focus while having fun, and adults get world-class training that pushes you to improve without ever feeling intimidating. The instructors truly care about each student’s progress, both on and off the mats, always at least 3-4 black belts on the mat at all times. If you’re looking for a place where the whole family can train, stay active, and be part of a positive community, this is it. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here!
I haven’t personally trained at Alliance Jiu Jitsu yet, but I’ve had the opportunity to watch Sam Snow—its owner—interact in our community. The way someone carries themselves outside the walls of their business says a lot about the culture inside, and Sam sets a high bar. He leads with respect, humility, and genuine passion for people, and that kind of character always trickles down into the environment he builds. If the atmosphere of Alliance Jiu Jitsu reflects even half of the integrity and commitment I’ve seen from Sam, then I have no doubt it’s a place where people are not only going to learn world-class Jiu Jitsu but also grow as individuals. From my perspective, this is more than just a gym—it’s a community built on strong values. I’m confident that stepping onto the mats here would mean being surrounded by great training partners, excellent instruction, and leadership you can trust.
If you’re on the fence, come for a free trial class. Observe and ask fellow students about their experiences. Sam and Jessica are most welcoming. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. Professor Sam Snow is a phenomenal instructor. Professors Freddy and Ryan complement Sam perfectly. All are knowledgeable, patient and kind. As a woman, the most important factor in finding the right academy is my level of comfortability. Fellow students and instructors are always helpful and always inclusive. Much consideration is taken when pairing me up for drills or rolls. All things must be considered to feel comfortable and confident. My husband and I started after 40. Training Jiu Jitsu together is our favorite hobby. Although we work out at the gym together, it isn’t exactly fun. Another Important component is social interactions. I absolutely love Alliance Jiu Jitsu Keller, Coach Sam Snow and the team of professors he has assembled. My son and I started Jiu Jitsu back in March here and have become obsessed. There is a family atmosphere at the gym, everyone is very welcoming and encouraging. My 4 year old son and I have never done any martial arts or wrestling before and we’re very apprehensive to start… but everything we’ve hoped to obtain by doing Jiu Jitsu has been coming true. We are more athletic, confident, feel capable to defend ourselves, and we’ve found a great community to grow with.
Love this place! The coaches are knowledgeable, welcoming, and amazing with kids. My 5-year-old son looks forward to every class, and we’ve seen a huge improvement in his confidence, behavior, and discipline. The environment is clean, motivating, and very family-friendly. We are truly grateful for the patience and dedication the coaches show every day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality Jiu-Jitsu training!
