First a quick review: Best gym in Austin, not only do you get a great workout and become a better fighter, but you also have a very supporting community that helps each other grow and enjoy the pain, like family! Now my story: As a Bruce Lee fan, I joined the gym without knowing what to expect since I never did any martial arts, but hoped to learn and experience a bit of what Bruce Lee taught and loved. What did I get? Heck of a lot more than I could ever hope. Coach Forrest’s Elite program has been fulfilling my desire to learn and grow as a martial artist with all the knowledge he possesses (which btw comes from a VERY close source to Bruce Lee himself), while Coach Corey has awakened the fighter in me I never knew I had and I now love fighting and competing. The best aspect of this gym however, is not just the coaches, but the community they have managed to build and maintain. Every single person in the gym is unique and awesome, we’
I want to give a big thank you to Coach Forrest and the team at Fighting Fit for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you're looking to compete or just train for fitness, this place is great for all levels. Coach Forrest really stands out for his passion and dedication. He takes his time to explain techniques and ensures everyone feels comfortable while learning. Coach Corey is also one of the nicest, most approachable guys you'll meet, and his passion for training shines through in every class. Lastly, a special shoutout to Coach Joseph! His noon classes are always fantastic, and I really appreciate how he took the time to correct me and help me improve where needed. I’ve learned so much from all of them! Highly recommend Fighting Fit to anyone looking to improve their martial arts skills or just get into better shape.
I joined this gym a few months back to learn a few kickboxing and Muay Thai skills. I am a fit pro myself and teach fitness classes elsewhere and wanted to bring some kickboxing skills to my other classes. I thought maybe I would attend for awhile, learn some tools and then say goodbye. But now, going to class is one of the highlights of my week. Everyone I've met is welcoming, friendly and warm. It's great for beginners up to advanced. Coach Forrest is the real deal: warm, welcoming, patient, and funny. He interjects humor and personal anecdotes into his workouts to make the skills more accessible. He's humble and kind, which is funny considering he teaches people how to hit other people! It's a great community and I'm really glad I found it.
A truly outstanding training experience. I’ve trained at fighting fit kickboxing and jiu jitsu for about a year. It was one of the best decisions in my life. Corey is an amazing coach, he will quickly make you feel like you’re at home. On top of that he knows what he’s doing. Forrest is a great coach as well he handles a lot of the private classes. They keep the gym clean and remove any problems before they become a problem. A lot of great people train here. They also bring some amazing people in for seminars. Come join the family you won’t regret it!
Fighting Fit Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu is hands down the best training facility I've ever experienced! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping you reach your full potential, no matter your skill level. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, making it easy to stay motivated and committed. The classes are well-structured and challenging, with a perfect balance of technique and conditioning. I've seen a huge improvement in my fitness, confidence, and overall martial arts skills since joining. If you're looking for top-notch training in a positive environment, this is the place to be!
I’ve only been at this gym since September of last year but ever since my first class, the coaches have been nothing but kind, encouraging, and welcoming. I had an athletic background in the past and really missed feeling like I was a part of a community. So, learning kickboxing and Muay Thai has not only kept me in shape but also helped me build a sense of community. The classes are about 45 minutes and some classes can be difficult in physical demands but it’s well worth attending and returning to. The culture at this gym is extremely positive and welcoming to all genders and backgrounds. I definitely would recommend!
