Celebrating 6 Months of Growth and Grit at One Nation BJJ It’s been an incredible six months watching our daughter grow through her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey at One Nation BJJ. Under the phenomenal guidance of Coach Tyler, she has gained so much more than physical strength—her confidence, focus, and mental resilience have flourished beyond what we could have imagined. Coach Tyler’s dedication, patience, and ability to teach with both discipline and encouragement have made a lasting impact. The guys at One Nation Jiu Jitsu have been amazing. Coach Geo, Clint, and Tyler have taken care of my son for the past 8 months in his after school program. They pick him up from school and take him to the gym everyday safely. And at 4:00pm they do a class to teach my son and the other children jiu jitsu. My father and I have personally observed how they interact with my son and the other children leaving us very impressed. I will continue to have my son attend this gym. Furthermore, the gym is clean and well maintained. They have plenty for the children to do when they are not taking part in the jiu jitsu drills and classes, such as, arcade machines and gaming consoles. Thank you to the team at ONJJ. I highly recommend these guys.
We joined One Nation a year ago after we moved to the area. My son (9yr old at the time) was hesitant because he loved his old gym. We were going to try out 3 gyms, but after 1 class at One Nation he was hooked. The coaching has been top notch, his Jiu Jitsu progressed rapidly, but more importantly his understanding of the art has increased. He was doing 2-3 days at the old gym, and quickly increased to 5 days a week because he loved his teammates and coaches. Since then, I have joined and started training. I am 36 years old and was worried I would get hurt rolling with the upper belts. Everyone has been very receptive, pushing me to get better during every roll but also rolling accordingly based on my skill level and goals. There will always be bumps and bruises, but the camaraderie with the coaches and other bobble heads is what I needed in a new part of town. My experience at One Nation is one that I’ll cherish for life. I walked into my first class with ZERO experience with jiu jitsu. (Ex. I couldn’t tell you the difference between “Gi” or “Mount”). During my first class, the instructors took the time to make me feel welcomed and answered my questions with respect and kindness. Whether you’re looking to start a BJJ journey (or continue your journey with world class instructors), creating friendships, or simply lose weight… One Nation has my highest recommendation. Your confidence, and thus happiness, will increase- and that is worth the investment. They offer a free week of classes to newcomers so do yourself a favor and swing by. You’ll be happy that you did.
My son started the summer camp and training in June. He is now in the afterschool program and has competed in two competitions. I've never seen the young man look forward to anything more than he looks forward to his training and competitions (except maybe Christmas :) ). He has developed into a very muscular young man and his confidence in himself has been boosted exponentially. His coaches have been incredible. They are disciplined but also show patience and understanding while training very young children to do some quite complex maneuvers. They are also exceptionally respectful to parents and children both. I have needed to ask questions about his training on a weekly basis and they're always receptive and very detailed when describing things to me. After years of playing traditional team sports, my sons expressed an interest in dedicating their efforts into something with longevity after their high school careers and into adulthood. Within weeks of training at One Nation, I noticed a huge difference in their self confidence and respect towards others. Their enthusiasm was contagious and after several months, I joined (at age 40). The entire staff at One Nation is first class. The environment is welcoming and patient. The Professors are highly skilled and breed a positive environment that fosters a love for the sport of Jiu Jitsu. Being apart of the One Nation family is something that my family takes great pride in.
