Jon is an incredible coach and runs a top-notch Jiu-Jitsu academy. His teaching goes way beyond just showing moves and he builds discipline, strength, and focus in every student. The techniques are taught with precision, always with an eye toward what works in real competition. You can tell he’s put decades into mastering the art and knows how to pass that knowledge on in a way that clicks. An absolutely amazing place to train. I’ve been at Seymour bjj for about 3 years. Im extremely grateful and proud to be a part of this community. Coach Jon is an extremely knowledgeable and outstanding coach, who truly leads by example. I also can’t say enough about all of the ppl that train day in and day out in this place. Everyone is supper friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend Seymour bjj enough, whether you’re a beginner, color belt or someone just passing through, stop by and get some rolls in.
Seymour jiu jitsu is the best place around to start your jiu jitsu journey. Really great coaches who are very passionate about your experience in the gym. I’ve been coming to SBJJA for about 8 months now and have had the pleasure meeting some of the best people around while being able to improve my skill set and thrive in this sport. Great for all ages, my 9 year old daughter has had the opportunity to learn valuable self defense skills while learning life lessons that she’ll be able to carry on and off the mat.
