My daughter has been training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost five years, she's now 10 years old. When moving to South Jersey it took us a while to find a place to fit her needs but we eventually found Quintella MMA and couldn't be happier! Sensei Alex is an excellent instructor and skilled at giving each of his students individual attention based upon their specific needs and skill levels; he does it very well with my daughter! His school also provides Muy Thai instruction, something my daughter is enjoying immensely. The facility itself is very clean! There are two classroom sections, one upstairs, another downstairs, that enables Alex to provide a robust schedule for both adult students and kids. A very nice service he provides are parents Jiu Jitsu classes while the kids classes are taking place- this has enticed me to start training again at my own pace. But he also provides top notch training for high level competi
BJJ. The B stands for Brazilian and there’s only one real BJJ school around. Quintella. Alex Quintella is Brazilian. If you want to learn Brazilian jui jitsu this is the place to go. All other places around don’t compare. As a matter of fact, most people who go to other jui jitsu schools once went to Quintella. Quintella offers BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA and wrestling classes. If you can spar at Quintella, you can beat anyone outside of Quintella. It’s a family atmosphere. There’s no drama…. At all. Alex teaches respect, honor and humility. The kids classes are second to none. Your kid being bulllied? Take them to Quintella. Alex will make them strong and confident. There are no egos at Quintella. Everyone is there to help each other. Someone will beat you in a roll and then tell you what you did wrong when it’s over. Who does that? Quintella! Alex trains fighters and he creates monsters. He has professional fighters training there. He brings
I signed my 6 year old son up about 6 months ago for classes at Quintella. The experience has exceeded my expectations more then I could ever imagine. Alex is really great with the kids. He is patient, kind, thorough but also tough when needed. He recognizes that each kids personality is different and figures out which way works best when teaching. My son is on the shy side but his confidence has grown so much since he’s been attending classes. Most sports he has tried in the past I would find him alsways asking how much longer, but with jiu-jitsu it keeps his attention the entire time and has him always looking forward to the next class. I trust Alex and Quintella Jiu-jitsu so much that I was able to convince my 9 year old daughter to give it a try and so far she is doing great. If you are a parent thinking about signing their kids up for Jiu-Jitsu I would 100% recommend Quintella!
I came for my first BJJ class 7 months ago and knew right away that this academy was right for me. Then I went to my first Muay Thai class the very next day and I was certain that I wanted to train both. Sensei Alex always encourages us to keep training and he challenges us to learn and grow our game. His positive attitude is shared by all the students at the academy and everyone from the white belts to the black belts push each other to improve and to continue to get better. Seeing your improvements week to week and constantly learning new techniques keeps every class fresh and makes sure that your mind is also stimulated. BJJ and Muay Thai are excellent workouts and I have lost 35lbs in the short amount of time that I have been training. I feel healthier and I am moving better than I ever thought was possible. If you are on the fence about BJJ or Muay Thai please talk to Sensei Alex and come try a class. You will experience what we al
The atmosphere and trainers here at Quintella in Folsom are amazing. I (my 2 children) are new to MMA and we were welcomed with open arms. Alex gave us the opportunity to watch/train for a week at no charge. Both of my kids, age 4 and 12, felt comfortable and wanted to join the program. My daughter now trains 3 days a week in Muay Thai and the same for my son with jujitsu. We are now 8 weeks in and learning so much each class. The trainers have tons of patience with the younger kids as they are easily distracted. We attended a local competition to watch our new friends compete. We were proud to see so many students of Quintella at all levels rank among the best. I highly recommend this MMA school based on cost, the wealth of knowledge provided, and the resources to grow in the sport. 10 out of 10!
Alex is a wonderful teacher who provides a fun yet serious training session for kids. My son has been training here for the past few years since he was 4 years old, and he loves coming here every weekend. Alex not only teaches the kids Muay Thai skills, but life lessons as well. They are imbued with confidence, and he even teaches them some Portuguese at the start of each class. My 8 year daughter just joined the class as well, and she loves it too. Although there are many other closer options since we moved away, I continue to make the 2 hour round trip drive to bring my kids here because Alex, the kids, and the parents are all truly special and one of a kind here at Quintella MMA!
