When I first came to visit Osagame as a prospective student, it was pouring rain and my cell phone had died. I was lent a charger and offered a ride home by two separate people. I experienced the kindness and sense of community right away. Fast forward two years later, it has lived up to that first impression for me and after experiences with several BJJ gyms, there is no gym I would rather be training at than Osagame. It is like a second home. There is fantastic instruction that helps you really grasp a technique, and a very supportive environment. The gym is co-run by a family and it shows. Instructors know your game on a personal level and notice your growth as a martial artist. Successes are celebrated, failures are lessons you're helped to learn from. Also, unlike many gyms in the area, there are no contracts that lock you in or any high pressure sales. When I was injured recently, my membership was stopped no questions asked, and
I love this place - I mean seriously. I've trained at various other gyms in Philadelphia and so far I haven't gotten that "this is my second family" feeling like I do at Osagame. Osagame offers separate men and women dressing rooms, great specials for new comers, and a great coaching staff. Aside from the staff the people who actually train here are willing to help you grow as martial arts practitioner. If you want to try JUDO or BJJ I would recommend this wonderful place.
Osagame Martial Arts & Fitness is an awesome school to train at! The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. The students are absolutely amazing on and off the mat! It is the best place to train in Philadelphia and you should start today!
I love judo and Brazilian jiujitsu, and this place does both of those things really well. The instructors are incredibly friendly and good-hearted and that seems to attract practitioners of similar character. Really a special blend.
I am visiting from Boston and stumbled on this hidden jewel of Dojo. This is solid no nonsense terditonal strong Judo, with humility respect and strong technical Judokies. Folks at this Dojo are amazing and there hospitality is second to none. Sense Ray I am so humbled with this experience thank you so much for making this such a welcoming experience once aging your dojo reminded me why I fall in love with Judo Best regards Afshin Bozorgzadeh
My daughter has been taking children's bjj and judo classes here for two years and it has been such a great experience. The teachers are talented and good with the kids. I think my daughter has gained a lot of confidence and she has a lot of fun. I highly recommend Osagame!
