Our family came to Commando Krav Maga after going to a place in my neighborhood for a few years. My children wanted to learn standing defense and were loosing interest at our local place, who only offered jui jitsu. We are so pleased with our decision. What I love most about coming to Commando Krav Maga is the feeling of community there. Coach Lewis (kid's coach) is such a great instructor for these kids. He is sooo patient but he makes them work! It doesn't matter how many kids are in the class, he manages to keep the kids captivated. I don't know how but he manages to give all kids individual time. The kids genuinely love coming to class. They make friends and are learning so much about defense, discipline, teamwork and fitness! The owner, Mr. Diamond is kind and understanding and genuinely cares about my kids and makes sure his establishment is meeting our needs. Joe Diamond has been an incredible mentor to me with my training for the last three years. I had started training at 220 pounds and went to 175 with his amazing motivation pushing me to succeed in get fit boot camp and training me to be in the best physical shape of my life. I also learned tremendous techniques from Jui Jitsu and saw Master Joe exemplify perfect technique in a fun environment that inspired others. At the same time creates an atmosphere as if you were defending on the street. Realizing that Joe created an amazing family at Diamond MMA, he also enlisted the services of amazing trainers that are proficient in boxing and kickboxing and Jitsu. His styles and variety of teaching appeals to people of all ages and his technique is renowned in the tri state area. First and foremost I would like to thank God 4 guiding me and allowing me to follow my dreams of being an MMA fighter and even more to train at Joe Diamond's gym. This is hands down the best gym for me. I've Been to one other gym and it was rough and tough and don't get me wrong I value and treasure all the tough love that I experienced after breaking my ribs I healed for 13 weeks and went back to My Road to mma fully healed and I started attending Joe's gym which is my second gym and since the first day I've been going consecutively 5 days a week and only want to keep going. . I have been coming here for about seven weeks and have now lost 25 pounds , I've gained lots of confidence, skill, technique, strategies and game plans. My stamina is physically and mentally improving, The actual head master of the gym does the workouts with his students and is a coach mostly everyday. My daughter has been attending jiu-jitsu classes here since August of 2023. I love the way the instructors check her knowledge before every new stripe or belt. She is excited to come, looks forward to seeing her instructors and the other children in class, and has become more confident in herself and her abilities. The foundation she is getting in self defense makes me especially happy.
I have joined the gym at the beginning of the year after moving in USA from Europe. I have been training in Krav Maga for a few months before moving and I knew I wanted to keep up with it. Joe and the rest of the team have been absolutely amazing and joining the gym was the best decision for me. The work out and techniques were beyond my expectations. I feel comfortable and confident with the acquired skills and I enjoy very much my time in the gym in general. There are lovely people, hard training and lots of laughs which makes it the ideal way to end my day. I can definitely say its one of the highlights of my week! If you are thinking about joining, don't think anymore just DO IT and you will not regret it!
The instructors are great and the students are competitive at a high level and have a good attitude. I got my blue belt training here, and I've done well against students with similar experience levels at other schools. I've also done extraordinarily well against larger opponents. The techniques really work, and the instructors at this school are great at explaining them. They have the experience to know the nuances of the techniques, what often goes wrong, and the possible counters, and they are very good at teaching their students to account for all of those things.
