I can’t recommend Evolution and the coaches, Rob and Jill, enough. I decided to try a class on a whim since I was already a member of the gym it’s located in, and I was immediately hooked. The camaraderie, quality of instruction, and overall vibe make every class fun and worthwhile. I didn’t realize how much I needed a community like this before starting BJJ a few months ago. As for jiu-jitsu itself, it was pretty confusing for me at first, but the instructors do an amazing job of breaking down each movement and explaining the “why” behind it. As a woman, I was initially hesitant to start a martial art that involves so much physical contact, but I’ve come to realize how empowering and important it is to learn how to protect myself. My daughter has been attending the kids grappling class for a few weeks now, and the impact has been incredible. She's been learning real jiu-jitsu skills while also building confidence, discipline, and resilience in a really positive and supportive environment. Trained here for a few weeks while I was visiting the area — great gym and community! The coaching from Rob and Jill focused on concepts that applies to all skill levels. And the community is great, everyone is excited to show up and train. I will definitely drop in the next time I’m in town.
