I had the pleasure of meeting Matt, the head coach of No Limits Grappling Academy at a local Gym when I decided learn jiu-jitsu back in October. Matt, along with other, displayed themselves in a manner that was welcoming, professional, and enthusiastic. It certainly made me feel comfortable in a new place taking on a new journey. In the next 8 months, I would come to know that Matt is a knowledgeable, passionate, encouraging, and supportive coach. After every practice, it become habit of mine, and other students at the gym, to stay after and ask questions, drill, and set up a game plan for future practices to make gains with Matt. I have attended some open mats at No Limits Grappling Academy, and to no surprise, it is a welcoming, positive environment in clean space. To say the least, Matt is there for his students, to walk the journey with them, to understand where they are at, meet them there, make a plan, and make the gains from ther
My experience with No Limits has been amazing. My development has been massive in such a short period. Matt knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with. Idk that anyone is running a business with such an intimate understanding of their clientele. 5 takeaways: 1. No egos - This has been wonderful. Joining a gym can be challenging and being the new person is tough. I haven’t had even a hint of ego here. Everyone has been welcoming, patient, helpful, and cool. 2. Relaxed learning - When working through moves, Matt is super accommodating and patient. Low pressure learning has been super helpful to gaining an understanding. 3. Value proposition - No Limits offers a MASSIVE value proposition. Matt has forgotten more about grappling than I will ever know. He provides extremely high level instruction. It is very doubtful that anyone is providing a comparable level of instruction at this price. 4. Outlook shift: After training I walk to my ca
Fantastic gym for all levels. I live in CT but visit family in PA throughout the year and needed a gym to call home away from home. I learned so much from Matt my first class here and he helped me tweak my existing skills as well. Matt really knows his stuff and is the kind of coach that will get you prepared to win your matches! If I lived in PA he would be my coach full-time. He is patient and will help you until you get it right. You should spend some time with Matt no matter where you train right now or what level you are.
When I found No Limits Grappling Academy I came to class wanting to learn Jiu-jitsu, and I've been receiving high quality instruction from Coach Matt from day one. What I didn't expect from a martial arts academy is the welcoming atmosphere created by Coach, a new found drive to achieve and compete in combat sports, and the guidance to become physically and mentally healthy. I'd highly recommend NLGA to anyone looking to learn grappling, the academy will improve your life on and off the mat.
If you’re serious about improving—whether you’re brand new or already have some experience—this is the place to be. The vibe is competitive but welcoming. The coach actually cares and teaches real technique, not just going through the motions. The environment pushes you to get better every session without ego or BS. Big shoutout to Coach Matt Marcinek—his instruction is clear, detailed, and focused on what actually works. He brings intensity, experience, and leadership to every class. You can tell he genuinely wants to see his students grow and succeed, and that’s rare. I came in wanting to grow, and every week I leave sharper, more confident, and more motivated. Everyone’s there to work, but they also respect each other and make you feel like part of the crew. No Limits isn’t just a gym—it’s a solid team. If you’re looking for structure, good people, and the kind of intensity that makes you level up, this is where you want to be.
I recently had the pleasure of training at No Limits Grappling Academy. Coach Matt was very humble and his knowledge of proper application of technique was extremely informative. He really drills down into the micro details of both position and submission to help develop your grappling game. If you are looking for a great place to train with a coach who puts his students first, I can highly recommend NLGA. Oss!
