We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Scarsdale Achieve Martial Arts! My child has been training here for about a year now, and we truly couldn’t be happier. The coaches are incredibly professional, patient, and motivating. They really know how to work with kids — building not only skills and discipline, but also confidence and character. You can tell they genuinely care about every student’s progress. The front desk staff always greet us with such a warm and friendly welcome, which makes the whole place feel like a community, not just a school. Communication and organization are excellent — we’re always well informed about schedules, events, and progress. And after the recent renovation, the facility looks amazing! The space feels fresh, clean, and especially inviting. Highly recommend this place to any family looking for a supportive, high-quality martial arts program. We’re so grateful to be part of this community!
I highly recommend this place if you are looking to sign up your kids for taekwondo. My 7 year old daughter has been taking her class for 5 months and is so much stronger, more focused, and disciplined than ever! She’s always excited to come to her class. She highly speaks of her wonderful teachers - phenomenal hardworking and professional mentors: Master Randy, Master Justin and Master John - All staff are professional and family friendly. Earning belts is strictly based on merit and the kids feel so proud to achieve. This class is great for kids of all ages and adults. I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience so far, wonderful experience since day 1 until today.
We switched from our Taekwondo school to Achieve due to relocation. We've seen many Taekwondo schools in the past. Achieve is definitely top notch among them. School facilities in both Scarsdale and Yonker locations are very clean. Staffs are very friendly and responsive. They also have wide curriculum from recreational training to more serious training. The school owners Mr. and Ms. Kim are super passionate and dedicated. We were honestly not quite certain if we found the right school on first day of trying out. But the kids loved the school almost immediately. Overall, no complaints but very appreciated for their hard work on training the kids.
I’ve been training at this martial arts school for over a year now, and as someone in my mid-40s, I initially worried about how my body and mind would handle the intensity. But from day one, I realized I had stepped into a no-judgment zone. It doesn’t matter that my splits barely reach a 30-degree angle while the kids next to me are effortlessly dropping into full splits. It doesn’t matter that my kicks barely make it past my waist while others are executing flawless tornado kicks. What truly matters is the supportive and encouraging environment. Every time I step onto the floor, I learn something new and find myself motivated to push just a little further. The only downside? I genuinely miss the weeks I can’t attend due to work travel. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner. Highly recommend this school to anyone—no matter your age or skill level!
My son loves Achieve Martial Arts and all the instructors are absolutely phenomenal ! My son has learnt so much and has gained so much confidence in Achieve and we will always be grateful for that. All the instructors have been so kind and so wonderful. We celebrated our son’s seventh birthday at Achieve and Instructor Dutelle and Instructor Randy were absolutely fantastic. The kids had SO much fun ! Despite so many kids attending the classes, personal attention is given to every kid. We strongly recommend Achieve !
My kids have been receiving the training for more than 5 years. Achieve Martial Arts not only teaches you the martial arts technics but also teaches the kids the discipline. Martial arts is not only about self defence but also about respect and mind enrichment. All the instructors and masters are very friendly and responsible. They pay attention on each individual's training progress with encouragement. One thing I do want to point out is this place's promotion system is under the Korean system, which is widely accepted by the whole world.
