I have always had an interest in MMA so I recently decided to find a gym that would meet my needs and this is the one. Before I began my membership with Arena Training Center, I took multiple trial classes at a few different gyms but none quite matched the culture and overall environment that ATC has. Despite no formal instruction besides a few boxing classes I was welcomed in with open arms by the coaches who all clearly have a passion for the sport and teaching it. From day one to now, every class challenges my physical and mental capacity altogether making me stronger day by day. I can’t say thanks enough to the coaches and classmates who are all helpful on my fitness journey.
I’ve been training at Arena Training Center for about five months, and signing up was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I did a lot of research before choosing a school, and this one stood out immediately. The schedule is incredibly flexible, with consistent classes instead of just a few options each week. The coaches, Elvis and Peter, are not only knowledgeable but patient, intentional, and genuinely invested in your improvement. From day one, you feel welcomed by both the instructors and fellow students, whether you’re brand-new or experienced. Since starting, my stamina, and even my mile time, have noticeably improved just from showing up consistently. I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking to get in shape, build real skills, and train in a positive, growth-focused environment. I’m excited to keep improving and seeing how far I can go. The discipline and consistency I’m building here are already carrying over into o
I can’t recommend them enough! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. They break down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand, whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced. Kickboxing is a great cardio workout, and I love how Elvis helps me build strength, speed, and coordination. The jiu-jitsu classes are just as incredible Peter has great focus on both fundamentals and real-world application. The environment is always positive and motivating, and everyone is welcoming and supportive. If you're looking to get in shape, learn self-defense, or just try something new, this place is the perfect fit. The combination of both disciplines gives you a well-rounded skillset, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made! The kids in the program really enjoy themselves and the parents are very impressed and highly recommend it.
My son is a serious wrestler, the team MVP at his school, who has won multiple tournament championships but missed qualifying for the NYS tournament last year by one match. He was interested in not wasting the holiday break. I reached out to Arena Training and was immediately contacted by Peter, the owner. We had a lovely introductory conversation about my son's needs, and he immediately connected me with Noah. Noah was a NYS Champion in 2017 and a D1 wrestler at the University of Buffalo. There was an instant professional and compassionate connection with both Peter and Noah. I attended the first session with my son. The vibes at Arena, with the coaches, adults, and younger students, are holistic and respectful. Noah and my son had sessions throughout the holiday break. My son feels confident in the new skills he learned, and he feels the 1:1 training was a great experience. For parents in lower Westchester, the Bronx, and Manhattan, c
I have been under Steven Williams for about 8 years now. He teaches everything from standup to leglocks and everything in between. He incorporates the minute details a learner needs when he is instructing. He teaches all types of take downs for the gi and nogi. Anytime you have a question he will make sure to answer it as well as stay after class to help you with any misconceptions or questions regarding a drill. Pete, makes sure the environment is friendly, and clean. He is also great when it comes to fitness and health. I feel comfortable asking him questions about different workout routines as well as modifying different types of exercises more directed towards jiujitsu. Elvis is a standup guy, i will admit i have never taken his class however i only hear good things from other practitioners.
A satisfactory establishment for the cultivation of martial prowess. My observations indicate a well-structured environment, conducive to disciplined training. The facility's designation as a 'Martial arts school' immediately establishes its purpose. Such a focus on combat mastery is commendable. The spatial arrangement, particularly the expanse of the mat area and the multitude of training bags, suggests an efficient layout for various disciplines. The color scheme, while bold, does not impede functionality. It appears conducive to maintaining focus, devoid of unnecessary distractions. My only minor tactical frustration is the current 'Closed' status, with operations commencing at '4 PM'. This necessitates a planned return, though it does not detract from the facility's intrinsic value. Optimal utilization requires precise scheduling. In summation, the Arena Training Center appears to be a functionally sound and effective training grou
