Humility! That’s the best way to describe BBJJ(Brownsburg Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). Josh has created a culture of team and learning at Brownsburg Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Culture is very important. I started training there in July of 2019 with no experience in any martial arts or wrestling background, and I was welcomed from minute one! At his classes and open roll, you’re allowed to train with higher belts whom have the same teaching mindset as Josh. They know they can overwhelm you at any time, but they walk you through what they’re doing, and why they’re doing it. I’m constantly asking questions while I’m rolling and everyone there is there to get better, so they want you to get better. BBJJ has a team of men and women of all ages, so don’t be intimidated by the thought of “it’s not for you.” BJJ is for everyone. Brownsburg Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been amazing. There are a lot of high level players but they are great at working with beginners as well. I came into the gym with no experience and not only the instructors helped me learn the basics but every person I rolled with was patient and knowledgeable which has helped me learn at a much faster pace than I ever thought I would. I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
Can’t recommend it enough. Josh is a fantastic teacher who excels at concise instruction. He has a knack for breaking down techniques in a way that makes BJJ easily accessible to someone without any background in grappling or combat sports. The team as a whole has a deep sense of community that lends itself to a profoundly positive environment that encourages personal growth on and off the mats.

Coaches are patient with kids. Very positive environment overall a great place to teach your kids self defense and keep them active.
