Gracie West Chase is the best place to train. They offer different programs that include different price ranges for all budgets. They offer to my understanding the best training environment that I experienced in the Tampa Bay area. From self-defense, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA ETC. All instructors are either high level or professional at their own martial art. The training is competitive but super safe, the high-level guys will push you to your limits but will make sure you are safe at the same time. Me personally, have developed great relationships with the coaches and other training partners. They made me feel like home since day 1 during and even after I took a break from training. If you are thinking about it but are not sure yet, go to their trial classes and I assure you it will make your decision easy, and you will stay training in with them. Thank you, Bamboo, Vik, Mateo, Pope, Mike, and all the others. Will be back training with
Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Westchase is so much more than just self defense and getting into great physical condition. My daughter has been a student since 2017 learning and practicing martial arts, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing and conditioning under the best coaches around. "I love the team spirit at Gracie Jiu Jitsu, everyone works together helping one another to get stronger, better with techniques, skill training and overall fitness". If you really want to learn self defense in a fun and safe environment, then come in and check out Gracie Jui Jitsu in Westchase on Hillsborough Ave. You'll be glad you did! Alexandria.
Saw an ad on FB for an intro class and decided to give it a try. Wish I all could say it was that it was "fun" (it was) but it was also informative, both in instructional aspect as well as realizing I am SO far behind in hands on personal defense training! Big slice of humble pie was eaten that day, followed by desert of signing up for classes! I made the commitment and will be attending regularly now! Bamboo, the instructor, was friendly and informative and took time to slowly ease me into learning. And while I was completely new to this, he made it fee comfortable and natural. Taking time to explain the mechanics box the moves being shown. Over all a great experience!! And like I said, I signed up for classes and will be going as often as possible!
The first time I ever came to Gracie Westchase was for an open mat. Immediately, I loved the vibe of the team, and began making connections right away. A few months later, I ended up taking a few private lessons with one of their instructors. He gave me such a huge improvement in such a short time that I decided to start cross-training here. It only took a few months before I became a full-time student. For me personally, this gym has everything I need - a jam packed and flexible schedule that makes it easy to train every day, knowledgeable instructors that are there to help guide you with whatever goals you have with martial arts, and a huge supportive team that is always pushing each other to get better. Aside from that, the facilities are always clean and sanitized, which is essential 👌🏼 10/10
Gracie Westchase is a great place to train! Bamboo’s knowledge and experience are remarkable, and it’s reflected in all his martial arts programs. The instructors provide high level training in a welcoming environment which fosters learning at any skill level. Every class is a challenging workout and allows students to really push themselves. There’s an energy in Gracie Westchase that drives students to do their best and I really appreciate that aspect of the school. I’m a retired Green Beret and training at Gracie Westchase lets me continue to train with phenomenal instructors and be surrounded by Warriors.
We LOVE Gracie Westchase!!!! The schedule allows for training at all different hours throughout the week. They have special occasions that involve EVERYONE including clients not just employees. The Owner Bamboo and his wife Robin are absolutely amazing people! The GM Vik is hands down one of the nicest most professional people you’ll ever meet. The kids class is Fantastic!!! And the coaches who teach the class; Erin, Aden and Javier are the perfect mixture of patience and discipline. It really and truly is the best place to get a workout in a non judgmental environment.
