If your looking for realistic self defense, the instructors here are the right choice. Johnny Vasquez and his assistant instructor Aaron Trobee have helped me break my preconceived notion that I am too old to consistently train in an effective martial art. At 55 I have found a community and a family of like minded people involved in an effective system promoting a positive lifestyle both on and off the mat. Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley is a direct Gracie lineage certified Gracie Training Center (CTC) with the Gracie's Headquarters in Torrance CA. Both of my sons, ages 18 and 12 attend regular training at Gracie Apple Valley. It's very satisfying to see them both emerge from their experiences better humans, better prepared, empowered, and confident. They have both made great strides in these qualities due to Johnny and Aaron as their role models. This place is awesome!
My two daughters have been attending Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley for over a year now. From the moment we stepped through the doors we felt welcomed. The Bully proof program my girls are enrolled in is amazing and the instructor Aaron is beyond great with all the kids. My daughters have both grown and become so confident in themselves. They LOVE coming to class! After watching them enjoy it so much I have also joined! I take the Women Empowerment class as well as the Combatives class. I too LOVE attending class. If you are looking to get involved in a gym that cares about its students, is professional and has top notch training this is the place for you! I can't thank Johnny enough for creating such an amazing place to train!
While on work travel, I trained at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley. I belong to another Gracie CTC and wanted to train while away from home. I had a great experience and was welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere is great and is like a big family. Coach Jonny is great. I highly recommend training at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley!
I love the people here at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley! The people are like one big family and embrace you from day one! The instructors are helpful and knowledgeable about what they are teaching. It is very women friendly in the combatives class but there is also a women's class that is specifically designed to teach you to defend yourself against the most common attacks on women. It is for all shapes and sizes of people and is quite fun!
This place is great!! I attend the women’s empowered self defense class and The instructors are great at breaking down the moves. Jiu Jitsu techniques are so beautiful, you will be amazed. Ladies you should know your worth and learn some self defense. They also have a bully proof class for our kids. Ok Fellas no worries they also have classes for you too. Just come check it out they have a 10 day free trail.
This place is amazing! From the moment I spoke with Johnny I felt good and at ease knowing my son would be getting into a great gym and have so much support and knowledgeable instructors to help him on his journey to self defense. We went in and right away were welcomed with open arms and the place was very clean! Aaron was super awesome spoke to my son and made my son feel very comfortable, safe and happy. Love the way they teach and how great they are with the kids. My son has tried other places but this one stood out and is definitely the place he feels is for him and so do I. Glad we chose Gracie and highly recommend it! Cynthia was also a total sweatheart and super helpful !
