If you’re looking for a Jiu Jitsu school that delivers both high-quality training and a welcoming environment, this is it. The instructors here are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping every student improve. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned competitor. The training is well-structured, with a perfect balance of technique, drilling, and live rolling. You’ll leave every class feeling like you learned something valuable and got a great workout. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The staff and members create a supportive, respectful community where everyone pushes each other to be better. There’s zero ego here, just people who love Jiu Jitsu and want to share it. Highly recommend this school to anyone looking to train in a safe, fun, and professional environment.
Professor Mayra, and Mari are the heart of this jiujitsu academy very welcoming, friendly, polite. Prof.Mayra is very knowledgeable, friendly teacher, very informative. She explains every little detail. Mari welcomes you with open arms and a warm smile. Coach Ryan is a amazing instructor very patient and understanding with the students and their abilities. The gym is clean, well organized theirs seating available, restrooms to change in, cubbies to place your belongings a water fountain in the back. Parking in the back and the front. The students there are very welcoming, it’s a very family oriented environment. My daughter is very happy and comfortable here we’ve known them for a few years now they’re our Family.
Best jiu-jitsu in the area! I looked into multiple options prior to enrolling my at the time 4 year old in classes and this was the best fit. Not only was their pricing reasonable but also the schedule was doable with my work and her school schedule. Once I saw the patience the professor and coach had with the children it was a no brainer to send my daughter ( who is stubborn, shy and detests all things new). As reluctant as my daughter was to get on the mat the professor and coaches welcomed her with open arms and she felt comfortable, accepted, & also had fun all while learning a new art. Now she is thriving in the program and has learned discipline, respect and become very resilient all thanks to the alliance team. Its a family oriented facility that makes all feel welcome, no matter your age or experience! 10/10 recommend!
Alliance Upland! Is my Oasis I’m always excited to come to class and learn. People here are very friendly and respectful. Professor Mayra is amazing and very knowledgeable. If you wanna start your journey in Jiujitsu look no further Alliance UPLAND! Is top notch gym it will help you to become the best version of your self on and off the mat. When I started juijitsu I don’t know if I want to continue I was ready to quit, but the guidance and patient that Professor Mayra show me help me overcome all that. Look at me now!! I won’t say I’m the best in jiujitsu but I will say that I’m the best version of me!! OSS!!!
We’ve been bringing our son here for a few months, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Professor Mayra and Coach Ryan are incredibly caring, disciplined, and deeply committed to the growth of each child—both on and off the mats. In a short time, our son has gained strength, confidence, and character. The balance of structure and support they provide is rare and so effective. He’s involved in many sports and attends a private school, but nowhere else have we seen this level of care and personal attention. They also go above and beyond to build a sense of community. A recent Easter egg hunt—with an Easter Bunny and professional photos for the kids—was just one example of the love they pour into their program. We’re beyond happy and plan to stay for years. I recommend this school to any parent looking for something truly special.
Alliance Jiu Jitsu Upland is hands down the best place to train. The coaches and staff make you feel welcome from day one and really take the time to help you improve. The environment is positive, supportive, and feels like a family. Their kids program is awesome — the instructors are patient, encouraging, and know how to make learning fun while teaching discipline and confidence. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
