My kids have been training here for about a year and a half now. Before joining, my daughters did gymnastics for four years, but they were ready for something new, so we decided to try this jiujitsu studio. At the time, my son had just turned four, and I was really hoping to get all three kids into the same sport. My daughters loved it immediately, but my son struggled to follow instructions. After the free trial week, the staff was honest with me and recommended we wait another year before enrolling him. I truly appreciated their honesty—it showed that they prioritize the kids’ readiness and safety over simply signing someone up. My girls enrolled right away, and a year later, once my son turned five, we tried again. This time he was ready, and we were able to sign him up as well. I waited this long to leave a review because I wanted to give an honest, informed perspective about how the studio operates and how they are with the kids. P
We have only been here for about three months, and my son loved it from the very first day. We came from another gym and he wanted to try something new. We visited different locations this one instantly felt like home. The professor and all the kids were so welcoming. Within just a week he had made friends you’d think he’s known for years. The environment here is very different from what he was used to, but in the best way. He genuinely enjoys it and feels like he’s learning so much more. I also want to say that the professor has never shown any favoritism to anyone since we’ve been here. He spends equal time with every single kid. Yes, some of the older kids help out during class, and the professor always communicates with us if he’s running behind. He’s a family man and has responsibilities outside the gym and we understand and the fact that the older kids step up, warm up on their own, and know not to mess around just shows the level
I am currently enrolled in jujutsu with my daughter, and I initially signed her up to help boost her confidence due to bullying she was experiencing at school. After trying out the first week, we immediately felt welcomed. The environment is supportive, and the coaches truly care about the kids. Coach Benny takes time to work one-on-one with each student, and his advanced students also assist in guiding the younger ones. Since joining, my daughter’s confidence at school has noticeably improved. However, I did witness an unfortunate incident involving another parent during class. This parent was loudly coaching his child from the sidelines and giving aggressive instructions while the children were practicing. At one point, my daughter became uncomfortable and hesitant to continue because of the intensity of his comments. Additionally, the same parent directed inappropriate language toward one of the coaches, even threatening him, which w
I want to take a moment and show my appreciation to Benny and the academy! At the time I started taking my son he was 5yrs old getting bullied by several boys at school. So much so that he no longer wanted to go to school and every morning was an anxiety attack. I expressed that to coach Benny. Let me dissect what Benny and the other coaches did for my boy! Not only did my son learn to defend himself, he learned great self discipline, confidence, and overall he gained little friends that cheered him on during activities. Coach Aiden was hands on and patient with my son as well as coach Brian, and coach Benny. They have truly made this a safe and fun environment for children who have fell victim to bullying. I also want to mention how clean this environment was. My son has incredibly sensitive skin and not once did he come home with a rash or skin irritation. I myself have witness countless of times how the mats were sprayed and cleaned
Elevation JJA has always been a great ju jitsu gym for our son. When we arrived in July 2024, my son was welcomed. Plus, he had learned a lot from Professor Benny and the other coaches at Elevation. When my wife and I were searching for a gym, we came upon Elevation, we did our research and we decided to place him in Elevation. We have never been disappointed, Professor Benny encourages hard training, but at the same time being safe and having fun. Cameron, our son, has been training in ju jitsu for 7 years, he has had good/ great coaches and Professor Benny is one of the best. Being a parent and watching your child develop in the sport, shows that he/ she is learning. Of course, when your child starts off, they are learning/ developing, but in time they will remember/ learn and you will see a difference in them. Keep up the GREAT work Professor Benny!!! First off this class has really changed my life. My friend brought me to this training class. I didn’t know what to expect on the first day. I was completely out of shape and was very nervous about what exactly what’s going to happen or how I was suppose to perform on the first day. Benny Loes the Sensei of the academy made me feel very welcomed as did the rest of the class. First day I wasn’t able to complete all the basic exercises but Benny was very patient with me along with the rest of the class, they assured me that over time if I continued with the training things would come natural. I originally thought it would be a great way to exercise and shred some weight, boy was I right first day I was drenched in sweat.
