My family LOVES Gracie Upland. It’s become like a family to us and our kids. Our three kids joined 3 years ago, a year ago my husband joined and as of recent I (the mom) decided to enroll too. The women’s class has been such an amazing addition to the schedule. My kids love all the coaches and professors at GB Upland. Everyone truly gives 100% effort into their training of students, kids and adults, and support you in every way possible. We have been members for almost 4 years and have had such a great experience with Professors Ana & Rafael and their entire staff. The families we have met and friends we have made encourage and support us every step along the way of our Jiu Jitsu journey. Gracie Barra Upland truly embodies their motto “Jiu Jitsu for Everyone”.
This is truly my second home and everyone in this academy are my second family. Never a bad day after I roll on the mats of Gracie Barra Upland. It provides classes for all level and all types of physical activities levels. Whether you're looking for self- defense, better physical endurance, healthier lifestyle, competitions, or just staying active this is the place you have to try at least once and most likely, it won't be your only visit. This is such a great BJJ school and program for both adults and children. My son has been coming here for the Summer Training program. They have so many instructors that it almost feels like private lessons. All of the instructors are extremely patient with the kids. They encourage a team environment, talk about leadership, and talk to the kids about keeping with things when they’re tough. All great skills not just for BJJ but for life. They do also offer women’s only class with all women instructors. It’s a large facility with plenty of seating, 2 different large mats, and it’s always clean!
Gracie Barra Upland is the best Jiu jitsu academy out there, the training here never disappoints and it is an amazing investment. Regardless of your experience level the Professors and Coaches do an astounding job at progressing everyone through the ranks, and they are always there for their students. Whether it be needing help with handling an injury, dealing with nerves for a competition or just simple questions, they always know exactly what to say. I highly recommended training at Gracie Barra Upland, it is a friendly-family oriented environment, welcomes all ages with open arms, and is a highly clean-organized facility. There are so many positive influences here, and it will easily become home for anyone who walks through their doors.
I had the privilege of visiting this school for a week over Thanksgiving break and the experience was awesome. While my Edmonds WA GB is my home, the team in Upland made me and the fam feel welcome. The coaches and professors are thorough and clear in their instruction and in particular the kids classes are top-notch. Tons of options on the class schedule. Everyone very welcoming and friendly. If you’re even *thinking* about BJJ at all, sign up now for a free session at GB Upland and try it out. This is one of the best teams to work with.
