I've been training with Paragon for 3 years now and can't imagine not being part of this incredible family. Here's my overview of the school and the class: Team: This is a great group of men and women who are all focused on the goal of growing in Jiu Jitsu. Some people compete and some don't but there is never pressure to enter a tournament unless you want to. If you decide that competing is one of your goals, the whole team lines up behind you to help get you ready. Instructor: Rodrigo will greet you at the door with a big smile and his enthusiasm for Jiu Jitsu and his students is undeniable. He is great about breaking down each technique so that everyone understands and then checks on each student to make sure they are doing it right and helping you to fix the smallest details. His technical skills are great and he will ensure that you build a solid foundation that will give you the skills and confidence to grow your game for years to
I joined Paragon BJJ three years ago. I had trained previously at several schools but it wasn't until I found Paragon that I felt I had found my Jiu Jitsu home. Professor Rodrigo sets a great tone for every class and you can always expect a killer workout. The atmosphere is fun and you won't find egos here. Great competition, a great group of guys and girls and an excellent facility. Can't recommend it highly enough. I look forward to every class. Forget your conventional gym where you train on a machine and just become one instead by joining Paragon Augora!
Awesome! Just simply awesome. Great people, motivating environment, friendly, a place where anyone can grow. Neto has been extremely kind and welcoming. I train in the southeast area of Ventura county, but from time to time I'll drop in into Netos Open Mat Saturday's. Coming from a different academy and, being received with welcoming rolls/sparring and great times is always refreshing. For anyone in the area looking to learn the art of Brazilian jiu jitsu, look no further. Thank you Neto and Crew.
My son has been training here on and off since he was 5, but most recently he started back again a year ago. This is a phenomenal gym with great students and an inviting environment. Neto is a world known jiu jitsu fighter and competitor. He is a 4th degree black belt. Before moving to California he taught in Rio and Dubai. He is great with the kids! I am not sure there is another professor in Conejo valley with as much experience as him. Pricing is also VERY competitive and cheaper than most gyms around. If you want your kids to learn from the best, this is the gym.
I've been training at Paragon for about a year and it has been the most incredible, positive experience. The school is clean and well-maintained, Rodrigo is an excellent teacher and the people are all very supportive and encouraging. There is a definite family vibe; Rodrigo runs a successful kids program and many families train together. Whether you are training to learn self-defense, to exercise or to compete, Paragon is an excellent choice!
Visited from out of town, but Professor Rodrigo and his students welcomed me like I had been going there for years. Everyone here is first class. No egos here, just top notch instruction and fun rolls (sparring). Won't stop them from choking the living daylights out of you, and I mean that in the best possible way. Anyone who practices bjj knows what I mean. Easy to recommend them, to both visitor and area resident alike. Only wish I had time to attend more classes.
