My wife and I joined the Morumbi family close to 2-1/2 years ago and couldn't be happier with that choice. Professor Fabio and his team are truly in a league of their own when it comes to creating a warm, inviting, and genuine environment to learn, train, and grow through teachings and applications from one of the best in the world of Jiu Jitsu. The Morumbi Academy was a rock for us during the pandemic. They adapted the business constantly to stay open and create a workout environment whether outdoor or indoor which continually met all that was required of them from health officials. They truly made the circumstances of the pandemic palatable from a stand point of a providing a personal outlet to focus on Jiu Jitsu training/techniques, and kettlebells. My family has been training at Morumbi for over 4 years, and all of us love it! The culture that they have created here is one of respect and a very welcoming learning environment. Professor Fabio and all of the other professors that teach at Morumbi TO are incredible, and maintain a positive and upbeat learning environment. I train in the adults classes, my wife does the fitness classes with coach Dini and with Professor Julio (and she has recently started Jiu Jitsu), and all three of my children train (ages 4, 8 & 10) . Coach Robert teaches my children’s class and they absolutely love him! For anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu, this is the best place in Ventura County (or anywhere for that matter).

I am 53 years old and have lived my life in sports, mostly contact. I played hockey my whole life growing up in Canada. Rugby, lacrosse and various martial art forms I have also spent a fair amount of my life involved with. Here I have found a home. The professors and other students are more then just welcoming they are very relatable, and have so many similar struggles and experiences in life that I have also had. Ju Jitsu seems to give value to all those life lessons and makes me feel like they had a bigger purpose. I will always be greatful to Professor Fabio for taking his path of opening a school and creating a place for so many to call there's!
Morumbi Jiu Jitsu has been incredible for our son, who is on the autism spectrum. The professors, coaches, and staff go out of their way to make sure he feels included and supported. Even on tough days when he struggles with overstimulation from noise, touch, or anxiety, they are patient, attentive, and understanding. We’ve tried other martial arts studios, and by far, Morumbi is the best when it comes to inclusivity and genuine care. We’re so grateful to have found a place where our son can learn, grow, and truly feel part of the team.
