Great learning environment for both kids and adults. I attend the adult classes and my child attends the kids classes. The adult classes have students who are super competitive and people like me who are more casual and want to just come and learn without participating in competitions. I have found that the GB Agoura professors and coaches are supportive of both types of students. The kids classes are great because the kids have their own fantastic professors and coaches. It seems as though families drive from far away to have their kids learn from the professors who coach at this location. I am constantly encouraging my kid’s school friends to join.
I couldn't be happier with the jiu jitsu classes that my 5-year-old son has been attending! The instructors are incredibly patient and supportive, and they've created a fun and safe learning environment that has really helped my son to develop his skills and confidence. I love that they focus not just on the physical aspects of jiu jitsu, but also on the values of respect, discipline, and teamwork. My son always comes home from class with a big smile on his face, and I can see the progress he's making every week. I highly recommend this jiu jitsu class to any parents looking for a great martial arts program for their kids!"
Love the vibe at this school! Checked out a few places before coming here and immediately felt that this was where I wanted to be. Excellent instruction without being overly formal/stuffy. It’s difficult to start at a new school as a higher belt and Professor Zane, Professor Jaeson, and Coach Shariq welcomed me with no reservations. I attend classes taught by Prof. Zane and Prof. Caio, both world class competitors who are knowledgeable, friendly, very technical in what they teach, and clear communicators. They are just as comfortable instructing new students as they are working with more seasoned students. The schedule is very convenient with classes at noon and 6:30pm most days. Students here are very friendly and eager to learn. You’ll definitely enjoy training here in a safe, clean, welcoming environment.
My kids have been going to Gracie Northridge for years. We started coming to Gracie Agoura when they opened twice a week and I cannot say enough great things about this studio. Incredible instructors- they are incredible with the kids. There are classes for young ones (4+) and older kids too (pre teens and teens). The studio is clean, well lit and sanitized regularly. I have had friends who have gone to other studios where the hygiene is not top notch- when they come here they see the difference immediately. My kids love Gracie Agoura- it is more “boutique” in terms of fewer students than Gracie Northridge - so it’s a perfect environment for fine tuning and learning new techniques with new people. I recommend Gracie Agoura 100% PS- they have great adult classes too! I plan to start here in the new year after taking a break from BJJ since the pandemic.
My son and I train at Gracie Barra Agoura and we love this academy. Professor Zane runs an awesome class and Professor Jaeson and Coach Shark are amazing with the kids. Great team atmosphere, family friendly environment, clean mats, good vibes and high level Jiu Jitsu instruction. It’s a fun place to roll hard with respectful and cool people and for the kids to learn important values and self defense. Happy to be part of the GB family.
Was extremely nervous as a female to try BJJ. Tried a few classes elsewhere but am so happy that I signed up at GB Agoura! There is no gym like it. Super welcoming family environment led by the best of the best coaches! By no means is it easy but with the top notch instruction by Professor Zane I was quickly able learn the fundamentals and feel more & more confident each class! The cleanliness of the gym and the mats are something I have not seen matched anywhere else. Great for self defense and there really is no workout like it. Try a class you won’t regret it!!
