The Owners of this school, Professor Ana and Raphael are amazing! They are very friendly, keep the school very clean and are very hands on with the students. It’s very evident that they take much pride in this school. They also have well trained the coaches and staff to be be very attentive and amazing with the students. Students of all ages. My family has trained at this school for over 5 years and I have referred numerous friends and family because you will not find a better school. The Kid’s Program, The Teens Class and Adult Class is awesome! They are patient and highly experienced with all children. You will build confidence in yourself and in your self defense. This school also breeds Champions, if you are on the competitive side. I cannot rave enough about this school. It’ll awaken a new love for the art of Jiu Jitsu. My son, started off as a shy boy and now carries himself in confidence in any situation. This school does a reall
I have been training at Gracie Barra Upland with my two boys (ages 11 & 9) for about 2 1/2 years. We are very excited for the new location and can’t wait to have more options for training. Gracie Barra Upland is not just a place for training, it’s a community. I’m sure Rancho Cucamonga will be the same. The coaches/instructors are great with kids and adults. Whether you want a new challenge, a great workout, self defense, self improvement, or just a fun activity for you and your kids, Gracie Barra Rancho Cucamonga will be a great choice.
I’ve been taking my son here for over a year now, so I feel like I can review at this point. I looked for jiujitsu because my son was being aggressive at school and needed an outlet where he could be physical. I have been to other facilities with different companies… this one is the cleanest I have visited, and best adult to child ratio. They have flexible classes, so if you pay to bring your child twice a week, you can do Monday Wednesday one week or Monday Friday the next… pick and choose two days every week that work for you. (For me, this is huge.) I like that the kids wear uniforms, and I have also paid to do the private lessons on the weekend. (Worth it.) My son really loves coming and I feel like I am getting a lot for what I pay. I like the no-nonsense attitude of the teachers too. They are understanding when needed, but also don’t let kids goof off. I have and will continue recommending this to anyone that asks.
First let me say we love Gracie Barra, they are great with the kids. They are very patient and have a great program to build the kids confidence and discipline. Now let me say my son is 6 and partially on the spectrum. I brought him to a trail class when he was 5 to attempt to push his comfort level and see how he’d respond to the class. They were so great explaining everything and helping him that we immediately signed him up. He’s been coming for 4 months now and his confidence has shot up, his social skills are getting better, and he’s really enjoying himself! My son doesn’t learn as quickly as the other kids but this has been great for him and his growth! I can’t say enough great things about them!
We had a great first experience! We took my son, who has no experience. The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Update: My son is up for his first Belt color promotion as we approach 6 months of class. We've seen such an improvement in his behavior at home and at school. He absolutely loves the lessons, the coaches, and the professors. We couldn't have asked for a better team to support him! He says he's going to keep training until he has a Black Belt.
My son (8)and daughter (4) have been going to Gracie Barra Upland since December 2022. The Coaches, Professors and the owners are amazing people. We ended up switching to the new Rancho Cucamonga location in June. Professor Richard, Jason and coaches Joel and Katie are amazing with the kids and the ability to be able to teach their craft while making it fun and fun to watch. Gracie Barra Rancho Cucamonga is an amazing community to be apart of and my kids love it!
