For the adults, if you are a hobbyist or looking for highest level of competition preparedness, 10th Planet Route 66 is hands down the best place to train. Coach Gus shares his decades of expertise and gives individual time
I 100% recommend this gym for any Ju Jitsu enthusiasts! My boys have gone here for a year and I recently started taking the adult class. I really appreciate how supportive but firm Coach Gus is on the kids. He gives them credit where it’s due but he also calls any kid out when necessary, very tough love. It’s exactly what we feel is necessary for our kids and all the kids in the class love and respect him for it. As for myself, after watching my kids for so long I decided to try it out and really enjoy it. I have trained under coach Gus and coach Cody and think they are both great coaches, however I’ve heard great things about all of the adult coaches from fellow class mates and would train under any of them!
I’ve been training at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Rancho Cucamonga for a while now, and it’s been an awesome experience. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping students improve. Coach Gus’s humor and passion for the sport make every class engaging and motivating. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll find a welcoming environment to grow your skills. Several students have gone on to compete and win, while others train simply to improve their technique and enjoy the process. The facility is clean, the classes are well-structured, and the sense of community is strong. If you’re even thinking about trying jiu-jitsu, come in and take a class—you’ll get hooked.
The hardest part of starting a martial art is the fear and intimidation of walking through the door. I’m forever grateful for Coach Gus and the rest of the guys and gals that train at 10P Route 66 as those feelings disappeared instantly when I started in September 2022. Everyone there has a desire to train in jiu jitsu, become a better practitioner, AND help the newest person walking through the door start their own journey. It truly is a family environment for both kids and adults, and I’d highly recommend you stop by for a trial class!
10th planet jujitsu is a great academy. My son and I have been looking for a NO-GI BJJ academy for some time. Joining this academy is one of the best things I have done for my son and I. We both fell in love with the sport and can't get enough. Not only is jujitsu a great place to learn self defense but it is a great way to stay in shape. Gus is a really friendly and knowledgeable instructor who teaches the adult and kid classes. (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday). Gus make the place feel like you hanging out with friends. I would definitely recommend 10th planet jujitsu to all my friends.
