Valor Jiu Jitsu reviews

Rated 5.0/5 across 14 Google reviews.

Tried an early 6 AM class here today. Really impressed with this place, the mats are super clean, professors and coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. I love their unique approach to bjj, their class structure is quite different to conventional bjj schools. Every class ends with a group Q&A which is super helpful for beginners like me to ask any questions or problems I had during rolling! Keep up the great work guys!
Very welcoming place for all, decided to do the free class trial and it was great. Was a little scared being the only girl there, but it was a very welcoming environment for learning self defense. The coaches work with you to make sure you do everything properly to avoid injury. Very clean and tidy. Was also impressed with the little details in the women's changing room with the hairties and blowdrier/ vanity. They also provide rental gis for those that may not have it for their first class. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the sport or interested in self defense!
I went in to train at an open mat. These guys blew me away for how friendly and inviting they were. The training was phenomenal. The open mat started with people getting to know each other and light rolling. As the session progressed people would pause and talk about the technique they just used,or one that failed, and gave each other feedback. There was absolutely no ego to be seen anywhere. I've been to gyms all over the world. This place sets the bar on what I look for now. I just wish I lived closer so I could make this place my home gym.
I stopped by Valor Jiujitsu to take a free trial class. The gym was clean, well organized, and I appreciated the small touches like extra hair ties and hair dryer in the women’s locker room. The instructors, Professor David and Coach Jando, were both welcoming. Warm-ups, drills, and sparring kicked my butt! I’ll definitely be back.
Valor is a great place to train jiu-jitsu and improve athletic conditioning amongst some of the most knowledgable and gregarious practitioners in the Pasadena area. Dave and Jando provide excellent instruction and are always patient, kind, and professional, with classes being beginner friendly and open to all skill levels.
My daughter and I came in so she can try out Jiu-Jitsu for the first time she fell in love within 10 min. Coach David, Coach Jando and Coach Jason are great with kids. We signed up right after the class. Amazing place.
